Its already costing me , Bullie pulling out all the stops to stuff the Welsh :-)

Bullshare - 29 Apr 2005 15:40 - 165 of 550

Dil,now second! Looking behind the scenes at the top ten it looks like some have made good profits from shorting BPRG a few days ago!

Kyoto - 29 Apr 2005 16:04 - 166 of 550

How come Dil and Compoundup never seem to show up as either Bears or Bulls? Surely they're not both running at 50% all the time? Or are they pairs trading?!

compoundup - 29 Apr 2005 16:43 - 167 of 550

All bear in my case K

Kyoto - 29 Apr 2005 16:50 - 168 of 550

Thanks Compoundup - just curious as to what's working out statistically. It's a pity that if the stats aren't a full picture of what's going on.

Dil - 29 Apr 2005 17:36 - 169 of 550

Of the 15k profit Kyoto , about 10k made on a short and a 10k gain and 5k loss on 2 longs.

Dil - 29 Apr 2005 17:40 - 170 of 550

How do I transfer my winnings to my bank account Bullie ?

Kyoto - 29 Apr 2005 18:22 - 171 of 550

Well done Dil, although I must admit I thought you'd be doing something spectacular and successful :-)

Mine's been more trades than I can comfortably count, mostly long, running around the mid-to-small caps like a headless chicken as usual. Frighteningly similar to the strategy I really follow in my real equity accounts :-|

Shorts mostly don't seem to work out for me for some reason, so I'm really struggling in these jittery market conditions. One day I'll hopefully develop a more balanced psychology if I manage to avoid wiping myself out in the meantime.

Dil - 29 Apr 2005 20:36 - 172 of 550

Sometimes its best to do nothing , I'm 100% cash for real and just going in for the odd hit and run trade cos I'm a crap short term trader but its not the right market for medium term investing.

Good luck.
