Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Certainly not Dil. Just de rampers aiding the MMs which are lowering the price.
They arent shorting the stock they are just wanting to buy it cheaper.
cheers Gf.

I read these boards and I just sigh.
BTW I like PTL and BPRG but I have sold both for now. I may have got my timing wrong by selling and they will rocket from here - if that is true I'll join in later.
good luck.

How far do they have to fall to become a liability rather than a bargain ?

Shares go up , then they go down, then they go up etc.......
Try holding for more than 2-3 days. It called investing. Too many people around these days who panic if their shares go down a couple of days after buying them.
Pathetic really.
Been buying since 99p. Will hold for a least 2-3 years. Read some books by Warren Buffett about stockmarket movements. Very interesting.

Again, Im looking for a bit more knowledge!! Two large trades went through at 16:49ish at 1.28, so not really relating to the closing price. Why did they go through at this later time and can anything be read into this??
Thanks!!

RobinReeve - for AIM stocks, the reporting of trades of a certain size can be delayed by one hour (sometimes 2 hours). It is a problem on MoneyAM that the time stamps don't show the actual time and I have complained about it (but to date no improvement). The times can be shown as other sites demonstrate.

Thanks Bones, though the time stamps were the same on another website - www.Londonstockexchange.com
What can we expect from the Results on 8th March?
Surely they will be quiet as the main products are only just being marketed?

Almost hit your 120p price target Andy , don't expect you thought you would be that lucky so quickly !
Would expect them to bounce back to 140p level from about here before another wave of profit taking sets in.

GF - just been reading the fbb thread over on ADVFN , can't believe the amount of abuse that IC guy is getting from some of the most blatant rampers I have ever come across such as that oliverleftwingtit prat , good to see there is none of that over here.

Dil - it is not worth guessing short term prices given the imminence of completion of the OTC deal (who knows what figures will come with that) and the results on 8th March which should contain other updates on collaborations.
BTW - I guess you mention OLWT and GF in the same sentence for a good reason :)
RR - the historical results to 31/12/03 won't contain much revenue. It is all about future revenues and deals.

Bones doesn't TA suggest that its "all in the price" so any deal everyone is expecting has already been well and truly discounted.
Lost me on the OLWT and GF thing :-)

Dil - so the theory goes. The FMC deal contained figures which changed the picture. So yes, at the moment it is all in the price until the deal reveals something that wasn't in the price. Trouble is we know "almost certainly" a deal is coming (should be in the price). But we knew FMC was coming but its contents weren't in the price. With me so far?
If OTC contains good figures, it is fair to predict that a short won't be a good position to hold....!
For me, I believe the longer term growth picture (you know, like Nord Anglia). TA says there is a steep uptrend in place anyway!

OK here's my logic fwiw.
Firstly I have no position and never have had one in bprg so I have no vested interest in whether it goes up or down.
Looking at the price action a lot of people have made a lot of money in these over the last few months. A quick look at the moneyam stockpicker of 2004 thread shows that a large number (relativley speaking) were put onto these as a good thing a while back. Problem no. 1 , leaky companies rarely make good long term investments and looking at the number who tipped it makes it looks a very very leaky company.
Recognising a few of the 2004 tipsters (Bullshare springs to mind) then when I was asked to look at these Sunday my first conclusion was that the savvy investors who had been in a few months and doubled their money were not the type to let the paper profit dribble away , anything more than a gentle pullback and it would be goodnight gracie from them.
A quick scan of advfn fbb then confirmed that everyone and his dog knew everything about this company and the amount of total b*llox being talked on there I have only ever seen rivalled on the MMD threads and the old JUS threads and look what happened to that pair.
Short term my best guess is a bounce then first sign of slowing and next wave of selling will take it down to a pound , too many speculators and day traders in these so wild swings are inevitable.
Long term , they produce the goods and profits it will get a fair market rating.
I don't even know what they do or make really , no one seems to talk much about that on these threads.
Good luck Bones , I've probably got it all wrong as usual :-)

Once the X-Gel packaging machines start working on production without serious difficulties, It will already look like Stock of the Year - and three or four contracts down the line - Stock-of-the- Decade - if not by then contender for Stock-Of-All-Time
