VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

The Secret to Finding Winning Uranium Stocks?

Start by aligning yourself with early mover companies -- those that were actively acquiring projects before uranium became the flavor-of-the-day. They are most likely to sit on the most prospective concessions, with the best geological and political addresses

Utah Stratabound Uranium Exploration Update

VANE Minerals Plc ('VANE' or 'the Company') is pleased to provide an update on
the exploration programme for stratabound uranium deposits in south-eastern Utah being carried out by its wholly-owned uranium subsidiary VANE Minerals (US) LLC.

Highlights:

North Wash
Drilling results have validated historic data reported by Cotter
Corporation ('Cotter') in the 1970's - historic drilling had returned
uranium grades with an average of 0.17% uranium oxide radiometric equivalent ('eU3O8') diluted
Vanadium grades are variable
Additional drilling is planned to expand current resource and to gather
additional vanadium assays

North Alice Extension
A Notice of Intention to Conduct Exploration has been submitted to the
Bureau of Land Management and the State of Utah for 25 drill holes

Happy Jack Mine
A 25 hole drilling programme expected to commence in April 2007

North Wash Drilling Project

VANE is pleased to report that five drill holes have now been successfully
completed at the North Wash project, and results validate the historic uranium
and vanadium mineralisation identified by Cotter's drilling programme carried
out between 1977 and 1979. The VANE holes were logged (probed) by Geophysical Logging Services and by Century Geophysical Corporation; the results of both contractors were essentially the same.

The drilling programme consisted of twinning five existing holes by rotary
drilling to the top of the mineralised zone and then coring through the zone.
The uranium values from two of the new holes were higher than those on previous
holes. On three of the new holes, although they intersected the mineralised
zone, the results were lower than in the previous holes. The vanadium results
indicated zones of high vanadium, as well as zones of negligible vanadium. The
overall results are consistent with the nature of these types of stratabound
deposits in that 'pinching and swelling' of the mineralisation occurs over short
distances.

The distance between the intersections of the mineralised horizon in the VANE
and Cotter holes varied by as much as 30 feet, even though on surface the holes
were located within 5 feet of each other. This accounts for the variability
between VANE and Cotter data. VANE ran downhole directional surveys of its
drill holes, whereas few of the Cotter holes were surveyed at the time of
drilling. The Company is currently awaiting the results of radiometric
closed-can analyses to compare with the chemical assays for the purpose of
checking the equilibrium of the uranium mineralisation. A tabulation of probe
and assay results is provided at the end of this press release.

VANE geologists are satisfied with the drilling programme and are confident that
the results validate the initial data and previous uranium resource calculation
completed by Cotter. However, it is apparent from the current drilling that a
number of additional core intercepts through ore-grade uranium intervals will be
required to estimate an average grade of vanadium.

The Company has determined that the next stage of the exploration programme
should be to work on expanding the resource, currently open in several
directions, by further drilling. The Company will also consider completing a
pre-feasibilty investigation on the economics of mining the project that would
include converting the current resource to 43-101 or JORC status. Upon future
drilling, core will be obtained periodically to gather more data on the vanadium
mineralisation.

Happy Jack Drilling Project
The Company has identified a drilling contractor and plans to commence drilling
the 25 permitted holes (as previously announced) in April 2007. The drilling
programme is planned to test several of the pods of mineralisation indicated by
historic drill results.

North Alice Extension Drilling Project
On 20 March 2007, the Company submitted a Notice of Intention to Conduct
Exploration to the Bureau of Land Management and the State of Utah for 25 drill
holes for the North Alice Extension project, which is located in the Lisbon
Valley Uranium District of south-eastern Utah. Approval from these two agencies
is pending.

New Acquisitions
The Company continues to look at acquisition opportunities and is negotiating to
secure further prospective properties in south-eastern Utah.

Matthew Idiens, Director of Corporate Development, commented: 'We are very
pleased with the progress we are making and to have confirmed the existing
resource on the North Wash project. It should be noted that, since the decline
in uranium prices in the 1980s, VANE with its North Wash project is the first
company to initiate uranium exploration in the Henry Mountain District. With
respect to the Happy Jack and Lisbon Valley areas, VANE was one of the first 10
companies to submit a plan for drilling with the Federal Bureau of Land
Management and will be the first to initiate drilling in the Happy Jack area of
San Juan County. We are therefore leading the way with regards to uranium
exploration in these highly prospective areas.'

23.50 is the all time high, and exactly where sp is currently sitting .... big Q is whether or not sp will get vertigo or surge ..... odds are probably slightly in favour of the latter

TheFrenchConnection - 02 Apr 2007 15:01 - 1547 of 2220

spread is narrowing at last. All signs suggest a small move north .

A good update reading the D/Report it looks like we are going to get plenty of news over the coming year to keep us punters happy and the sp moving in the right direction.

I bought UMN and URA and put this on watch list for a pull back. I chose the wrong one as URA hasn't performed well for me I wonder if it's worth switching now or too late!

Don't touch BRM (Brinkley Mining) too, moneyplus, but I think VML has much more to go upwards.

why do you not like BRM? .... i know nothing about them

What with Gordon Browns bro doing the bidding for EON of Germany for Drax tends to support the notion that British future energy policy rests in nucleur ...This is one of the few smallcaps l think could be a real winner this year . Cheers Driver for link ...............the lazy one lol ...@+ J

Good Morning all

Parkgreen have returned my call enquiring about the final results, these will be released "on or about" 1st May.

They will incluse a full financial report, details of progress at Diablito, collated updates on all drilling programs and possibly details of new property aquisitions.

As far as I can establish all is going acording to plan, we should shortly get a clearer picture of progress and one hopes that the sp will get a lift as a result.

micky468 - 04 Apr 2007 13:38 - 1555 of 2220

THanks for the update driver ............Now see what (BRM) have to say i phone them in march and they say they would have some news out end of still waiting.

TheFrenchConnection - 04 Apr 2007 15:08 - 1556 of 2220
