Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Plans for EU army laid bare
A leaked German policy paper has revealed proposals to establish an EU army, clearly advocating plans for a joint headquarters and shared military assets. This would involve the UK surrendering control over our national defence to Brussels bureaucrats. The IN campaign claim that there are no plans for a European army, but this just adds to the evidence which discredits their protestations.

Jean-Claude Juncker has previously called for the introduction of an EU army, while the European Commission itself described EU defence integration as ‘not just a political option but a strategic and economic necessity’. The main party in the European Parliament, the European People’s Party, has now adopted the creation of a single EU army as one of its manifesto goals.
This is yet another example of the EU’s relentless drive towards further integration. If we vote to stay in the EU, it means handing over more money and more power to Brussels. The prospect of having our defence policy dictated by the EU will be a huge concern to British troops as well as the public at large. It is clear that the safer choice is to take back control on 23 June.

If you were Germany, France, Italy etc. and the UK brexiters get their way and vote out of Europe, would you trust the UK with helping you in the future in your defence.

I've never been the most optimistic person , in fact my pessimism probably cost me over the years , but the thought of continuing in the EU is making me scared for these Nations . Daily we hear of EU plans and the more i hear makes me realise it's no good . Too much for rest of world not enough for it's own people .

I watched our Dave waffling in front of the Commons liaison committee yesterday. Sleeves rolled up, rosy cheeks, ready to battle for Britain again. He knew he wouldn't be waterboarded so his replies to the brexit tories were designed to last until time out without actually saying anything. Pure gobbledegook. There was a labour bird on the committee who asked why he was even having a referendum when it endangered our security so much. There's democracy for you. She should spend more time in her constituency instead of the Westminster bubble and she may pick up some valuable clues.
I have other things to do today, so a last rant. Gordon Taylor, the PFA chief executive, wants the Leicester City stars knighted for winning the Premier League. He may be on the pop or ecstasy but clearly out of his mind either way. How these people get high ranking jobs is beyond my understanding.

Oh no iturama i'm as happy as i ever was , making the most of this unusual weather , setting out garden , planning trips etc . If we can rid ourselves of this cloud overhanging us be even better .
