LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.
Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.
In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.
Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels
As usual, pls do ur own research.

to die?
much more seriously, crohn's disease is really unpleasant and, if i am not mistaken, a cousin to ulcerative colitis, for which there is also no cure as yet ..... both diseases are also quite common, so a cure would benefit many
whether or not PXS has found this magic wand is a long way off being proven

agreed it is a way off but getting to human trials takes a lot of correct science all on its own, so indications are good.

i think that just means that it has been shown that it won't poison rats, estate agents, car salesmen or MPs - in no particular sequence

persistant talk on the other side that once the wording for promotions have been sorted out to efsa satisfaction and all is official---the real promotions begin. Sirco has been approved by the good morning tv doctor Chris Steele--let's hope he talks about it on the programme! Holland and B say sales are v good so far--I shall check with the Plymouth one tomorrow.
If pxs get the substitute daily aspirin with fruitflow tablet going--that would be a massive boost---also airline dvt--talk of selling the drink to travellers. If we then get the possible deals with coca cola---WOW! I need some sirco just thinking about it ***over to you cynic for a cold dose of reality and back to earth with a bump!

I started as a speculative investor. But now I have decided to hold it for longer. Fruitflow will make or break the market. I am looking for a favourable out come.

Nice to see this is finally reaching back to its 2007 levels - guess the whole process has just taken a couple of years longer than I'd anticipated. Must learn to be patient...

Missed the rise, happy for those who got in.....what a rise !....incredible...from 1p....I have a tendancy to avoid "pharmas" like the plague, but that's a superb increase in value.

To answer your Q Cynic: no - not currently a holder but wish I had been to enjoy the ride! And also no to AZM; got out of that a long time ago. But do hold OXB at a profit, and will continue to hold those.

hi bestblinds,
glad to know sirco's doing a good job for you, i havn't heard any direct mention of this but it may be a consequence of the smoothing of platelets etc. Hence the phrase 'helps maintain a healthy bloodflow. Like you say this is a more like the effect that people will recognise immediately as beneficial...
