we shall agree to disagree. i have been in this name at various time since the mid 90's and have a built my view around a management team that only disappoints.
i have never been one to pour water on a stock to rile other people but it is my heartfelt belief that een will drift.
if i am wrong then so be it.

LONDON (AFX) - Emerald Energy PLC said it has entered into a three-well contract with Parker Drilling Company International Ltd.
Beginning in November, the Campo Rico 2 and 3 wells will be drilled directionally from the site of the Campo Rico 1 well that has been on production since May.
The drilling rig will then drill the Vigia 1 exploration well on the Vigia prospect, 11 km from the producing Campo Rico field.
Alastair Beardsall, Emerald's chairman, said: 'The back-to-back drilling of these three new wells in the Campo Rico Block enables Emerald to save on the overall drilling costs and rapidly consolidate the drilling success achieved earlier in the year'.

Emerald Energy wins 2 exploration evaluation contracts in Columbia
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Emerald Energy PLC has been awarded two new 'Technical Evaluation Agreements' in the Llanos Basin of Colombia, and will carry out technical studies to identify the presence of prospective exploration areas over a ten month period.
Throughout the term of each TEA, the company said it has the first right of refusal over any exploration and production contract proposed by a third party in the two areas. Emerald currently produces over 1800 barrels of oil per day in Colombia.
The Mantecal and Altamira Agreements, in which the company has a 100 pct working interest, cover areas of 1875 sq km and 2845 sq km respectively in the north of the Llanos Basin, Emerald said.

Fair chance MMs walked price up to today's news; so despite the news being just fine, a little weakness short term would not surprise me. Hence I reduced my holding in EEN, taking some profits, to plough into SYM on a quick punt on favourable outcome of trial (or settlement out of court beforehand?). I expect to be adding EEN again soon, however, ideally with profits from SYM. We'll see!

gordo - Last news seemed to be short on details; I think there is a little nervous sentiment showing-up as the weakening price, especially today, not helped by the oil price. I'm confident it will come good in the end (very good actually), but I'm not ready to add just yet (indicators mixed). Drilling results expected in December from Campo Rico #2 might well see a speculative run-up, and if that starts in the lower part of the 125-140p area, I expect to be buying into it.
The floods in Colombia could be a factor, true; we had that some years ago with Gigante / access 'roads'.

Emerald Energy says current production in Colombia now exceeds 2,500 bopd
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Emerald Energy PLC said it is now producing over 2,500 barrels of oil per day in Colombia as more oil flowed from its existing wells.
Campo Rico 1 hole, which started production in May, is currently producing over 1,800 bopd, it said.
'We are encouraged to see that the production from our existing wells continues to rise. Our accelerated drilling programme is on target to deliver a significant increase in production when the two new Campo Rico wells are brought on stream early next year,' said chairman Alastair Beardsall.
The group used to produce 1,800 bopd both from Campo Rico 1 and Gigante 1A.
Campo Rico 2 development well is to start production next month, while Campo Rico 3 is expected to commence production shortly after.
The rig will then be moved to drill the Vigia 1, an exploration hole, also in the Campo Rico block.
