AMU quite rightly appears to be developing a small following, hence I have updated the header with a 'carrot' and the charts.

UK smallcap opening - Air Music & Media gains on Investors Chronicle tip
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Buyers came for Air Music & Media, 1.13 ahead at 7.75 pence, after the Investors Chronicle advised readers to 'buy'.
With trading looking strong at the music distributor, and a share price target of 13 pence from broker Seymour Pierce, the shares look oversold, the IC concluded.

1704 - Not read the report yet. However have been looking at the RNS for Maximun Entertainment Ltd Acquisition posted earlier my myself. Total consideration for company is 379,000 payable by 75,800 cash and 3,790,000 shares valuing shares at 8p each. Current share price offer is 6.25p. On the basis of this acquisition the share price is currently undervalued.... We have also seen trading volumes increase over the past few days.... Need I say anymore.

I think the share price has been undervalued for months.
Seymour Pierce earlier in the year put a valuation of
approx 13p/per share. AMU has a lot of things going
for it but luck isn't one of them. Hopefully, for long
suffering share holders better times are ahead?

Wilbs and Explosive
Appologies just caught up with your last posts. Hope both had
good weekends. Just noticed since my last post that there has
been two RNS. Have not had a chance to look yet. If both of
you are thinking of attending the AGM. I would get on the
blower to Neville Registrars Ltd straight away (0121) 585 1131.
I've a feeling the AGM will be held before the 6th October 2005
but would like some one else to confirm.

No problem 1704.
This is the latest from RHPS.
AIR MUSIC & MEDIA (AMU): In line with its strategy of
acquiring content to push down its own distribution
channels, Air Music has acquired Maximum Entertainment
Limited. Maximum owns the exclusive licence to
duplicate titles, including such children's favourites
as Care Bears, Ninja Turtles and Action Man, by way of
VHS and DVD in the UK, Channel Irelands and Eire. Air
Music is paying 75,800 in cash and is giving the
vendors 3,790,000 new shares. Interestingly these were
valued at 8p for the purposes of this deal, which
suggests that the current share price is too low. HOLD.
Heres the 2 last RNS's.

Hollywood DVD Limited
The Board of Air Music announces today that it has ceased to provide funding to
one of its UK subsidiaries, Hollywood DVD Limited, and have appointed
administrators to manage an exit from that business. This follows as part of the
strategic review announced in July this year and the decision to exit the
business reflects the continuing poor performance in its budget DVD business.
Hollywood DVD Limited had net assets of 0.1 million at 31 March 2005.
The Group results for the year ended 31 March 2005 reflected a 2.1 million
impairment charge in respect of the goodwill arising on acquisition of Hollywood
DVD Limited. The audited financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2005
and the auditors' report thereon were finalised before the decision to exit the
business was taken. The half year Group results to 30 September 2005 are
expected to reflect a charge of 0.3 million both in the form of trading losses
and the remaining investment value write off.
The Board announced on Tuesday 6 September 2005 that it had taken measures to
refocus the Group's DVD activities through the acquisition of Maximum
Entertainment Limited, which owns the exclusive licence to duplicate and
distribute certain Jetix titles in the UK, Channel Irelands and Eire, including
such well known children's brands as Transformers, Care Bears, Ninja Turtles and
Action Man.

Appointment of PR Adviser
The Board of Air Music, the UK publisher and distributor of affordable
entertainment to over 55 countries, today announces that it has appointed
Bishopsgate Communications Ltd ('Bishopsgate') as its Financial & Corporate PR
and Investor Relations adviser, with effect from 1 October 2005.
Bishopsgate's initial role will be to clearly communicate Air Music's definitive
strategy and strong position within the Media and Entertainment sector;
including the differentiation of the business from quasi-comparable players in
the sector.
Commenting on today's appointment, John French, Air Music's Chairman, said:
'The Board is delighted at today's appointment. Bishopsgate will initially focus
on communicating the Company's differentiating factors that set the business
apart from other operators in the sector. Having personally worked closely
alongside the team in my other City roles, I believe their proactive and all
encompassing service will strengthen our advisory network and greatly benefit
the Company moving forward.'

The announcement did a lot for the share price didn't it ?
(I suppose it was on it's way down anyway)..
Pants all round this morning !
I guess Sept/Oct are not traditionally good months for equities... it's no different this year.. need to wait for Nov and beyond for equties in general (&AMU) to recover !

Skyhigh - Look at the big picture, DVD bundling was profitable when DVD players first came out to help sell the product. Nowadays with DVD player prices so low the additional bundle isn't selling the product especially as in general DVDs have become cheaper. Lets face it Hollywood DVDs titles are crap!!! I've looked at them and many films are either non hits or very old which lets face it apart from an actor enthusiast who wants to buy them? You spot the old classic in the range cos I couldn't find one!!
I think this is a good move by AMU to cut their losses and move on to sellable products. At least with titles held by Maximum Entertainment Ltd they are sellable. Old cartoon titles especially the high fantasy ones never go out of fashion, well not until the movie has been made anyway. I would for one be more worried about the board if they were unable to make this call.
Regarding the announcement of a PR I'm very pleased. Been moaning about the lact of announcements from AMU for soooooooooo long now. About time and thankfully with Hollywood DVD out the way AMUs PR can consentrate on marketing products which people do want to buy.
Wilbs - Big thankyou for the postings.
1704 - Won't be able to make an AGM, start new job on the 26th so time off will not be easy!!

upwards. Fingers crossed it will be soon.

Agree with the points you raised about Hollywood DVD and
still laugthing about the points you raised about the crap
DVD titles. Personally, I am pleased to see they have taken
action to ditch this loss maker. Be interesting to see if they
can make Maximum Entertainment the money spinner I reckon
it is. As for Redleaf the less said the better.
Good luck with the new job.
Wilbs-
I've stopped reading RHPS with regards to AMU for several
months now. Been disappointed for several weeks/months
over the poor coverage given to AMU. His most recent
comments are a joke and does not tell us anything.

1704 - Totaly agree with the RHPS view, TB has made some very bad calls recently Stanelco sell then buy back the next month being one of them. I'm considering cancelling my membership as the issue isn't of the quality it once was.
Regarding Redleaf I don't share your view, the Redleaf PR deal I think is the first step for Redleaf to understand AMU. Redleaf also have clients such as Somerfield, Finsbury Food, MonsterMob & Retail Decisions.
Once Redleaf start working with AMU we could possibly see the Sales and Distribution side of AMU brought out of the dark ages with Redleaf designing and managing AMUs website and PR relations. I'm thinking on-line ordering facility and downloads. Whats your opionion?
Skyhigh - The SP is frustrating, agreed, I bout in at just under the 8p mark so am as concerned as you are. However AMU need to start getting with the times, they have made a good aquisition in Maximum Entertainment, appointed a PR whos yet to perform. All we need now is distribution into the market for AMU to become a leader. The board is making the required changes and the SP is very undervalued if you look at the recent aquisition valuing the SP at 8p.
Some would sell and move onto pastures green but for me I think the board are still hungry and will turn this decline around.....

Explosive-Thanks for your post.
Fully in agreement with you regarding TB and RHPS. Stanelco
is a good example, that you picked out. I think he is losing his
touch and like you may cancel my membership. I have sent
a couple of e-mails to him this year asking him why he does
not cover the stock as much as other's in his portfolio? I
have not found his service as customer friendly as other tip
sheet services I subscribe with.
With regards to Redleaf. You've lost me here. Didn't the RNS
announced today confirm that AMU have hired Bishopsgate
Communications as a PR Adviser I took that to mean that Redleaf
Communications have been given the 'boot'? Was looking
foward to having a drink to that tonight after seeing the value
of my investment plummet since they were hired. Not sure
why AMU would need 2 PR Advisers?
Agree with the points you made about the share price despite
today's slump. I reckon the share price will rebound before the
end of the week and have a feeling some large buyer/s have put
in 'buy order'.

Don't be too hard on yourself yet. It's just that when I
read through the RNS I took it to mean that Bishopsgate
were taking over from Redleaf. The RNS does not confirm
this but I am hoping it does happen. Although Redleaf may
have done/and is doing good PR work with other companies
it just has not happened with AMU for reasons I have no
idea about. Please note I am looking at this from the view
of where the share price was when Redleaf was appointed
to where the Share Price is today.
Ouch! It makes painful viewing the share price chart this
year doesn't it? I just hope between AMU and Bishopsgate
they come up with a PR Strategy that works.
Personally this investment has been a disaster for me this
year and am looking now for the shares to start fufilling their
promise. I keep telling myself it will come good eventually
and to hold for the long-term but its not easy when you have
observed it continue to fall and fall.
