Looking at the 5 day chart, it would appear as if the DOW has closed
the gap open and is now continuing the 3 Day trend.
You could almost put a ruler along it.

Updated SnP PnF chart. If this prints 1110 it will be the first time we've had a lower

'O' since the Bull Run started a year ago.

Melnibone - 11 Mar 2004 20:51 - 1567 of 2279

S@P just dipped below 1110, another lower 'O' on the chart.

That's got to be Bearish. Unless this is a Bear Trap, this
could go all the way to 1030. That would mean the DOW breaking
10,000 and the 'Fear' really would kick in then.

Strewth! Down 168. Watch the Feds.

S@P EMA's all tied up again.
Naz and Dow look the same.
So far, you could practically superimpose today's chart
on top of yesterdays and be hard pressed to see the difference.

If you look at the link, try changing it to 5 day view and
you will see that you can still lay a ruler along the trend.

Don't forget it was a gap open higher today.

Watch your eye with that short, Zarif.

As I posted on the Investors' Room Thread.
Think who has the profit to protect as we come up to the weekend.
It's the Bears.

If anything, I would have thought that we would go up today,
towards the close, as Bears took profit off the table for the weekend.

Thanks melnibone closed it just before at 1114.5.
Just messing around with the kids and watching the market atm.

I see we did in fact close on the daily high. Glad it did't break
Thursday's high, even though it broke the 4 day downtrend.
This will help with the Eurozone Indices on Monday. I would
expect some more Bear closing on Monday morning on the Eurozone
indices, but without the US breaking the Thursday high they shouldn't
gap open too much, if at all, which should give us a chance to pick
up some more beaten down Blue Chips.

All above supposing you are all still in Bull mode, of course,
and haven't swapped your horns for claws. ;-)

hi everyone.
Lets see what the market is going to throw at us today. My gut feeling is that we are going down. But we shall let the market decide our actions.

My EMA rope has now completely crossed over from Friday
and reversed direction to the downside.

What happened at 15:30 to drop the markets?

Melnibone - 15 Mar 2004 16:52 - 1577 of 2279

I don't know of anything specific.

FTSE hit the Thursday bounce high mark circa 4470 and
promptly sold off.

As I've been saying on the Investors' Room thread, I think
folk are still trying to exit positions but wait while we
drift up towards resistance.
When we reached it with only 1 hour left to sell today,
plus the US is drifting constantly lower, then that doesn't
leave a lot of time if you still need to sell this days quota.

Just the way I'm reading it, doesn't mean I'm right.

Hi Zarif.
Level for the downside is 1100.
Level for upside is the gap open and yesterday's high circa 1121,
which is also the trendline down.

A break above these levels could signal that we've had a swing low,
although Friday was technically an inside day so this would need to
be treated with caution.

Hard To call the market today:
Just being a typical "injun" and Scalping where i can.

Have to see where it turns after the 19.15gmt speech by Greenbum.Mind you he has atendency to bring the House Down at most times.
Short on cable is going Fine.( My opinion is that it has been a one Way street for a while and its about time to become a Dollar Bull.)

Just scalping UK stocks so far today.

No direction yet to take a position on S@P.
Will get interested when the Eurozone closes
and the S@P EMA rope sorts itself out.

Everything starting to tighten up now.
May get some direction soon unless they wait until after
lunch and listen to the Fed's wording with the no change
in rates decision.

Looking at the 200 ma on your 'rope' chart Melnibone, it all looks rather bearish still on the S&P.
