Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Hays,
That is the problem with the governing clique.
They are out of touch with those they are supposed to represent and pandering to their greed of those who fund them.
Reminds me of the mafia and its connections.
Can not see any real stimulus to the economy and the markets think similarly as can been by their luke warm responses.

The Labour party are just hypocrites. They bend to the will of the unions, who are just another pressure group. At least union memberhipis falling fast.

The 'luke warm' response of the market is because the budget was as the market epected.

Hays,
The labour party recognise they were born out of and are supported by the unions.
The unions financial support of Labour is public knowledge unlike some of the "financial" support of tory party from their overseas financial "tax" dodgers.
I won't mention the news media of various forms which are utilise by their moguls to pervert public opinion.
But, I do admire how brazen they are in trying to consolidate their thiefdom.

Labour can say whatever is going to go down well with the electorate, knowing that they don't have to do a scoobie about it, but because it's popular they have a brief feel good factor about themselves. If only they weren't so far up their own backsides, they could take time out to admit what a mess they made when they did have those decisions to make.

Unless they are very lucky over the next 2+ years the Liberal party is "doomed" and the tories will sink with them.
Mind I didn't think the coalition would last as long as it has.
Unemployment will still be high and the mass won't forget whose policies made it worse.
The cut backs will have really kicked in and the the NHS and Schools will be more disorganised demoralised than at present.
On top of that university fees will probably have to rise and there is less cash in the hands of the middle classes who will be unable to afford the costs of helping their kids going into higher education.
On top of that, some of those coming out of university and higher education and aspiring to buying a property will be landed with debts of £30,000 more and unable to get mortgages.
As far as attracting the rich by reducing tax is concerned, there would appear to be to many here already.
Management can obtained home grown.

Don't forget, only the rich can generate jobs, not the pentioners.
So, the budget helps growth and sustianable economoey.

You are indulging in wishful thinking. The history of the Labour party has been that they get in once and then the Conservatives get in several times in a row. that has been a pretty reliable sequence apart from when Blair pretended that the Labour party was similalr to the Conservative. Now that Milliband has lurched to the left with Ed Balls the party is doomed again.

Don't forget that ALL the money that the government has to spend on infrastructure, health, defence and everything comes from one source ONLY. That source is business. If the government wants more money to spend on good works then they need businesses to make lots of money that they can tax and give workers pay that can be taxed. The alternative is state capitalism. As that is not going to hapen then boosting business is the only hope.

Glaxo invests £500m in UK and builds new factory
The investments could create up to 1,000 new jobs, Glaxo said. The biopharmaceutical facility will be its first new UK factory for 40 years.
Patent boxes
Glaxo said it was motivated specifically by Chancellor George Osborne's confirmation in the Budget on Wednesday that the government would introduce so-called patent boxes.
These allow corporations to pay a lower rate of tax on profits generated from UK-owned intellectual property.
"The introduction of the patent box has transformed the way in which we view the UK as a location for new investments, ensuring that the medicines of the future will not only be discovered, but can also continue to be made here in Britain," said Glaxo chief executive Sir Andrew Witty.
"Consequently, we can confirm that we will build GSK's first new UK factory for almost 40 years."
