INTERIM RESULTS

QuikTrak Networks PLC

QuikTrak Networks Plc

Interim Results

For the six month period ended 30 June 2004

The first six months of this financial year have presented the Company with some
major challenges.

Following the commercialisation of the M25 Network in late 2003, the Company
found that the market demand for a network limited to within the M25 was
incompatible with the operating costs being incurred, in particular the level of
spectrum fees being paid, which were for a national UK telecommunications
licence. Given the intense competition in the sector and the variety of
technologies on offer, it is now clear that a fundamental component of a
successful business plan is the ability to offer UK national coverage. The
establishment of such a network for QuikTrak would require a significant amount
of capital and we have to date not been successful in securing these funds,
despite sustained efforts.

Following a review of the costs incurred in operating the M25 Network, the Board
resolved it was not in shareholders' interests to continue to do so. As a
result, the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, QuikTrak Telecommunications (UK)
Ltd (QTT), was placed into administration on 23 August 2004. The ability of
QuikTrak Networks plc to pursue its broader objectives is not impacted by this
decision.

During the six month period, the Company generated revenue of 157,002 (2003 :
26,025). The loss for the period was 2,589,940, which includes writing off
the value of the net assets in QTT to nil (2003 : loss of 1,471,848).
Included in the consolidated balance sheet at 30 June 2004 are assets of QTT
amounting to 1,142,642, offset by liabilities of QTT of the same amount.

The Company has refocused its operations in order to enable it to exploit the
Intellectual Property Rights of the technology and its unique software in
Europe, the Middle East and the countries of the former USSR through network
sales and licensing arrangements. In order to be able to demonstrate the
technology, the Company has negotiated the right to use a QuikTrak network
currently operating in Australia, at a substantially lower cost than the
operating costs of the M25 network.

In July 2004, the Company raised new equity of 800,202 (net of costs) to
finance this revised strategy.

Progress continues to be made in selling a licence agreement to a prospective
operator in the United Arab Emirates. This is the first example of QuikTrak
utilising the Intellectual Property ownership of its system and is intended to
act as a blueprint for all future licensing deals in Europe, the Middle East and
the countries of the former USSR. Licensing deals are expected to provide a
revenue stream through consultancy fees for preliminary investigations,
technical planning, acquisition of base-stations and software, as well as
through monthly technology, licence and technical support fees per base-station
and transponder deployed.

QuikTrak's secure, accurate and reliable tracking technology has been well
received by the market for a wide range of applications and I remain confident
that with our new approach based on licensing and partnerships we have a solid
base for re-building shareholder value.

Hi Big Al, I would think its the likes of Bioprogress that are looking like a dog and pony show with the way the news gets leaked out and the way the price has fallen from 150 pence. A dog leaks the news and the ponies spread the news on bulletin boards.

Big Al - 13 Jul 2004 15:27 - 158 of 702

Indeed, BPRG are in descent once more after another fantastic RNS. ;-) Woof, neh! LOL

I do think Dil has a fair point here, though. That's a lot of dosh for one guy when they've done so badly up to now. Would keep an eye on him if I were you.

SueHelen - 13 Jul 2004 16:00 - 159 of 702

The difference between ourselves is I won't start posting on BPRG thread signalling out all the negatives, just look at the worries the major pharmacuetical firms are facing and their share prices falling, whereas you will keep repeating your points here (banting on) all the time. I have no interest in BPRG and you have no interest in QTR so let's just see which one rises the most by Christmas and stick to BPRG who are supposedly are in descent once more after a fantastic RNS. Yet BPRG being a wonderful company can't sort its share price out which has fallen from 160 pence. So if BPRG have better management and QTR doesn't, yet both have had big share price falls. Puzzling!

Dil - 13 Jul 2004 16:29 - 160 of 702

They both look crap Sue but in fairness to bprg I don't think their chairman pays himself 8 times turnover.

SueHelen - 13 Jul 2004 16:33 - 161 of 702

Yes but what are their options at, now in QTR they have them at 25 pence which is another bit of good news. Price of options is what needs to be looked at these days as well. Even the directors must be paying themselves well in BPRG by having options at lower prices. You need to take your investigation further and look into that.

Dil - 13 Jul 2004 16:42 - 162 of 702

I have but on the bprg thread , all that needs to be said here is that in the last reported accounts , one director received over eight times the companies turnover in emoluments.

May get your spike but to me he's milking these for all their worth and unless a substantial deal is struck soon then these will run out of cash again.

Says it all when the only way they can raise money is through a bucket shop.

SueHelen - 13 Jul 2004 17:30 - 163 of 702

Rollover 300,000 buy reported at 2.50 pence after close.

markp - 13 Jul 2004 19:23 - 164 of 702

Hi Sue

Your quite right, this one's definately not one for me!!! I don't hold it and have no intention whatsoever of doing so at the moment.

I notice with interest your coments to BigAl that you said you would not dream of going onto another thread with negative coments. Why is that? Surely any comments which are well researched and relevant to the debate are welcome to give a balanced view to any thread, even if they are against your own views.

Remember to set your stops people.

xmortal - 13 Jul 2004 21:02 - 165 of 702

Sue. u've picked up shares in the past and ALL have performed very positively as you predicted, your buys and sales timings have been superb. Please do not get distracted by all this deramping and annoying posters. Please keep the good work. Very much appreciated. XM

SueHelen - 13 Jul 2004 21:19 - 166 of 702

Its repetitive markp. The same comments everyday! I am starting to get dizzy with all the remember to set your stops people posts as well. You've mentioned the same thing in all of your posts.

Big Al - 13 Jul 2004 21:42 - 167 of 702

SueHelen - re earlier today.

Did not wish to get into a bunfight with you so left it. I get the feeling you are prepared to lose all on this one so I'll leave it at that.

Best
Al

markp - 13 Jul 2004 23:42 - 168 of 702

Hi Sue

Regarding your earlier comments about the same thing every day, I have posted 3 times on this thread from the 2nd of July, which I hardly feel is excessive. So stop being so defensive as it does you no credit and dilutes your argument.

With regard to stop losses, I believe that this has the potential of totally wiping out any prospective investment, and therefore feel a stop loss is imperative here if you dont usually use one.

I have always believed that a good investor sets his maximum losses before entering into any investment and sticks to it relentlessly to avoid getting badly burned. That way you live to fight another day, only lose small and hopefully make big. Im sure you would agree that that any strategy which removes emotion from the decision is a sound one.

As I mentioned earlier, I have nothing to gain from a move either way as I do not hold these at the moment and, as is often said, sometimes no position is a good position. Therefore, I cannot be accused of ramping or deramping as it would be pointless.

I have followed this thread whilst doing my research and have found no reason to buy it. Therefore, as realism seems to be frowned upon on this thread unless it states that everything is rosy in the garden, I will leave you all to get on in peace with one final reminder.

Set your stop losses people!!!

Seriously, I hope this turns out well for all who hold.

Regards.

Mark.

SueHelen - 13 Jul 2004 23:56 - 169 of 702

Yawn, this has got so repetitive mark now, and your stop loss warning again 3 hours after the last one.

dell314 - 14 Jul 2004 09:16 - 170 of 702

Sue - I urge you to read the Annual report of the original Australian parent company.
It is amusing to read that one reason given for a reduction in the company's losses, was that they distributed all their shares in the UK company to their shareholders.
Following on from dil's observations about director pay, it's also interesting to note that Chris K was paid approximately 95k last year and apparently 280k the previous year. In addition to this, there are also considerable payments for services to Investika (a company that Chris K is a director of).

I note that the results were qualified by auditors on 31 March 2004. They noted inherent uncertainty in the company's ability to continue as a going concern. By 14th May, the company was in admininstration.

*please note monetary figures quoted are originally in $Aus and I have made a rough conversion to sterling.

Scripophilist - 14 Jul 2004 09:30 - 171 of 702

This has to be one of the most speculative plays I have ever seen recommended on a posting. Before the recent placing the company was technically insolvent and post the placing any shareholder in the company faces massive dilution.

I don't think you need any analysis on this company you just buy small parcels of ten similar companies and hope that a majority don't go bust. Then overall you may see some upside. The placing only raised a small amount so you had better hope the management can perform wonders with that.

Best of luck Sue Helen.

Dil - 14 Jul 2004 10:09 - 172 of 702

At last some sense.

xmortal - 14 Jul 2004 13:23 - 174 of 702

SueHelen - 14 Jul 2004 13:26 - 175 of 702

Hi Xmortal, my previous post was referring to the website which is active now for QuikTrak Korea. Hence they have interests in Korea as well which I was not aware of before.

Hi Sue, I tried to view the news on KR but I cant see it on their website, went to news but not mention. maybe u could guid me. Soz and thanks

Xmortal - I'm intrigued as to how you found the news area of that site, unless you read Korean.
Incidentally, I've noticed that you and Sue seem to post on all the same threads, yet neither of you appears to have posted anywhere this morning. Do you have some kind of relationship with each other?
