Now that we all know what the prospects for MOS are i.e. damn good, thought I'd get a new thread going and just highlight MOS' attractions for any new investors.
Key highlights:
* Significant progress made, rationalisation programme almost complete
* Acquisitions integrated well
* International marketing network established
* Record order books, enquiry levels high, several new customers won
* Recent Director buys
From the Chairman's statement:
Outlook
Over the past year the management team has extended the product range, put in
place in-house manufacturing, rationalised the existing business and greatly
expanded the marketing effort, opening up significant new markets to MOS
products. Once the acquisitions have been fully integrated MOS will offer a
wider product range to a broader market and have a much reduced cost base. We
have record order books, we have attracted major new customers and we are
targeting new markets, worldwide. Overall, we have made good progress and the
outlook remains extremely positive.
Trading Update
MOS International PLC ('MOS'), the oilfield services company, announces that
trading is in line with market expectations. TURNOVER FOR THE YEAR TO 31st MARCH 2005 IS EXPECTED TO BE CIRCA 10M COMPARED WITH 1.05M IN THE YEAR TO 31st MARCH 2004.
MOS currently has an order book in excess of 7m for delivery prior to the year
end.
The recent acquisitions have integrated well, the rationalisation programme at
MOS is almost complete and that at Ansell Jones will be completed in this
financial year.
Tender and enquiry levels remain high and the Board is positive regarding the
future. Significant progress has been made and the business is well on the road
to recovery, with turnover forecast to show a further considerable increase, in
the next financial year.
On a turnover of 10million with a profit of say 1million, this company is on a P/E ratio of just 8 (market cap being around 8million at present). This company has been overlooked by the institutions and investors alike and is due a big re-rating soon IMHO. DYOR as usual.
Chad.

Buying price hasn't changed though, can still get 0.79p.

MMs seem to have marked the bid a bit lower as mild protection from any casual dumping of stock on the new placing. To be expected, so in effect steady as she goes on modest volume. The few early sells were probably pre-planned. Now its pretty much all buys.
bos - next time I'm in B&H (5 minutes from my office if you ever need anything from there) I'll look up the Gregson piece.

Ive ditched a couple of my stocks that aren't performing ready to top up big time in this one. In these dodgy markets we're havin at the mo MOS is a safe haven, as its going to be the small stocks that have strong revenue growth rather than the stuff thats all promises and no substance that performs.

Good thinking chad. Buying trades going through at the same price as yesterday, mostly .84p with lucky blighters like andysmith picking theirs up at 0.79p. I can understand with a lady like moneyplus getting moneyminus, but what has as does to deserve it? Bid price reduced to discourage sales by those acquiring through placing probably. Oh, sd has already said that - we always say the same think except that he barks it if not yaps it, with the occasional growl for the postman.

Eric, maybe someone likes me enough for making my friends/family a little bit wealthier and for once I got a good turn and get mine for 0.79p, all through the good old Share Centre on this occasion. Only cost me 7.50 charges as well!!

I have added a few more but Eric must have very big toes! only 58000 for me so far but I plan to add when cash permits!!

Well, moneyplus, they are always saying I have put my big foot in it so my toes are probably pretty large as well and not that pretty! Super thing about buying at around 0.8p is that your cap. has multiplied by 10 when they get to the dizzy heights of 8p. Not out of the question if their formula works as well as it appears it might. Particularly like the Chinese contract which could be the precursor of many. The line of stock being sold at 0.84p is still running - anyone with level2 got any visibility of it?

I think the overhang thats holding the SP back should be mopped pretty soon, and as long as the buys keep coming in like they have been, then its blue skies here we come.

I think we now need some news to shift this or a tip in Shares Mag/IC would be nice. 100% sure though blue skies are not far away!

Buys easily outnumber sells again today, horrible spread though that must put off buyers. Having said that, will probably only affect short termers.

Chrissie, my interpretation of this is that the MMs still have an overhang of stock to shift. We have been able to buy at .79p for the last 2 weeks, while we were able to sell at .75p until the middle of this week, when they moved it down to .70p. They don't need our shares imho! Anyone with level 2? Perkaps they would could make a different conclusion!

Chrissie: agree with canary that the intention is to put off sellers rather than buyers. Agree also it would be helpful to know what Level2 is saying as that might give an indication as to the amount of stock available. Probably needs some more positive news about trading or new contracts to move the sp forward anyway. The key unknows at the moment are when will they become cashflow positive and what level of margins will they be generating.

If when the results are published we see that on 10mil turnover Moi has made 500k or 1mil profit, what do you think a fair value sp would be? I am assuming that the statement that goes with the results will be very positive.
gromore

Assuming 500k-1m profit and using a p/e of 20 would give a price of between 1and 2p. However, together with a 'very positive' statement market sentiment could drive the price up considerably.

What do you think of Hoodless, Brennan & Partners buying 50,000,000 shares on the 27thApril and then selling them the same day?
gromore

I looks to me that they already had a client(s) lined up to buy the shares. If it was one client then there should be a further notifiable interest announced shortly. Hoodless Brennan presumably recommended Moi to the client(s) so I would view that as an endorsement of MOI as an investment.
chrissie

That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking that we might have some more director buys just after or alongside the results.

So is the move down to 0.75p the final play in the fund-raising scenario or is the sp set to go lower? There been a lot of positivity on this BB but on a day when the market had it's best day since January the MOI sp fell.
