Socrates - 10 Oct 2004 20:19 - 15716 of 23498

Hi all, time for a nice big bowl of sherry trifle.

brockman - 10 Oct 2004 20:20 - 15717 of 23498

Do you not get the big green advert every time you hovver over the bb?

STORMCALLER - 10 Oct 2004 20:21 - 15718 of 23498

Evening folks,
brockman, you should be able to block the ad from the firewall!

brockman - 10 Oct 2004 20:22 - 15719 of 23498

Oh Stormie, I cannot assemble flat pack furniture! What chance do I have with fire walls? ;o)

STORMCALLER - 10 Oct 2004 20:23 - 15720 of 23498

brockman,
Oh dear, er........do you have a firewall?

brockman - 10 Oct 2004 20:25 - 15721 of 23498

YES, coz i was told i have, i also have AVG, coz i was told to get it! But quite what it all does, I really don't know ;o(

STORMCALLER - 10 Oct 2004 20:30 - 15722 of 23498

brockman,
Without knowing the installation it would be difficult to make any suggestions I am afraid, but the best bet to stop the advert you refer to is to enable the firewall ad-blocker. Sorry I can't be more help
Edit:
Shame really 'cos you are quite near me I believe.

daves dazzlers - 10 Oct 2004 20:31 - 15723 of 23498

sorry brocks i just flicked over to put something straight.

brockman - 10 Oct 2004 20:32 - 15724 of 23498

My son, David, has got ad blocker, its just this big green one that gets larger as you click over it that is the problem! Ad's don't generally bother me but this one is a pain in the arse! And no,I'm not in the cellar ;o)
