THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Hay,
George Carlin does not understand that capital punishment prevents people to become drug dealers.

So, his arguments are wrong, but funny enough to be sold to some.

TANKER - 23 Mar 2012 08:55 - 15708 of 81564

all drug dealers should be hung no exception

That's funny ; there was an al-Qaeda personalised numberplate parked outside that flat in toulouse.....no mention anywhere...false alert presumably...

ahoj - 23 Mar 2012 09:14 - 15710 of 81564

Thanker,

Agreed if you talk about major drug dealers and those who support them.... even if it is a high ranking guy. But those who are trapped should be offered help to get back their life.

The same for criminals, like Abu Hamza. Unfortunately, based on Human Right Act, his life is more important than the life of 65 million people in this country!!!! IN some cases, the Human Right Act is misused by criminals. Human Right should be rewritten to support humans no criminals.

People like Abu Hamza stimulate hate which result in fundamentalist ideas to propagate fast amongst less educated and poor. It is very likely that the guy in Paris has been motivated by people like Abu Hamza.

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2012 09:15 - 15711 of 81564

Does that include Doctors, Chemists and Drug Companies?

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2012 09:17 - 15712 of 81564

The French stand off.

Why didn't they try "gas" to get him out?

I know he might have had equipment to protect himself, but nothing would have been lost in trying.

ahoj - 23 Mar 2012 09:17 - 15713 of 81564

Fred,

Your argument is fundamentally wrong. Doctors, Chemists and Drug companies are doing great job. Their high salary is justified and competition help the price to fall etc.

They are not criminals, they just want to increase profit by delivering solutions to people where margin is high. The same for bankers, competition is the solution.

You may even argue that why should people of France pay a criminal to live in prison. There was no doubt that he killed innocent people on purpose, so he should be be punished. The sooner and the cheaper, the better.

Many of the drug abuses in this country could be laid at the doors of the named groups.

Addiction to tranquillisers was rife in the 60-90s and still is prevalent. Their misuse has led on to use of other drugs.

Alcohol, for many is an addiction and a drug. Because it is partaken by many of society it doesn't stop it be a substance of abuse.

While I was being facetious also I was pointing out the naivety and over simplicity of presented argument and solution.

Now where did I leave that last bottle after I took a sleeping tablet last night.

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2012 09:27 - 15716 of 81564

N,

there is easier way to get any one out . put a pipe into the house and pump wasps in
i have kept bees and it is simple to do

ahoj - 23 Mar 2012 09:48 - 15719 of 81564

So, there should be a threshold for each issue. In my opinion, when the threshold is passed, the rule should be harsh.

In the case of murderers and people like Abu Hamza, the threshold is passed and Human Right should not be used (misused) to save them. Instead of paying these guys to continue destruction, we should use the money to help real human (normal people) to service the country.

Abu hamzah should go to his country to serve his people. Clearly, these guys do more harm than good.

what you all forget is the most immportant part
the MPs friends make loads of money out of the
problems so never act in the interest of the public

Because their life and prospects seems too anxiety laden, or miserable to be tolerated without escape, or temporary release.

Tanker,

An American soldier has just kill a number of children a adults in Afghanistan.

All Americans should be sent home to be tortured to get information out of them (even if they don't have any) then hung drawn and quartered.

After that their families should be rounded up and kept in prisons as suspects of something or other.

That would really sort the blighters out.

We are getting too B. Soft in this country.

Lets go back to public flogging and hanging.

Vote for XXXXXXXXXXXXXX. they will sort it out.
