NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

Anom..I am not gullible, and certainly not taken in by you.
Gurumaister ...if you want extra evidence for a case study, do visit the ADVFN thread (the CON ! thread) to see the latest examples of Anom's depravity....plucked turkeys and Death swinging a scythe at the NML shareholders. I really think the man is quite deranged. It is an appalling and tasteless way to behave.Most of the ADVFN shareholders in NML have filtered him.
He is convinced..and fervently hoping..that NML is going to the wall. A personal vendetta, although he will claim that he likes to see companies punished if they lie to their shareholders. His actions are hardly those of a crusader, in my opinion. He appears to be losing more and more control of sensibilities.
NML will have to raise some money and there is no doubt that they have made their path harder than they might, by the course of action they have taken. Instead of being cash generative by end of June, they are arriving at November with money to get (not surprising, really, since most mining companies are the same) and negotiations to be made, for a slice in a joint venture. Whether or not they can secure this, I have no idea...
Unless NML get kicked out, which is most unlikely, then the projects are still there and management problems have been resolved.

By the way, Healy is not in Angola just now, but still in London.
The summer drilling results from Hudson are a bit late, but should be in the 'pipe-line', I am told by a Hudson investor that I know.

I'm amazed people are so relaxed about the change of plan, when they seemingly abandoned plans to mine 10,000 carats per month, for an ill fated adventure on a kimberlite where they have done no previous exploratory drilling, at least none that is in the public domain.

Andy - old news - what shall we all do - curl up in a ball and quiver? or stay relaxed and enjoy the rest of our lives. what's done is done - the management behaved badly, changed plans, dropped a bone to chase a shadow, lost shareholders most of their money - but it's gone, unrelaxedness will not bring it back.

with sensible money management, it's only a small fraction of my portfolio and, yes, I do think there is a 50/50 chance that some value will come out of it. on the other hand, if it goes to the wall, I will lose the price of an extremely good dinner with a few friends. my best choice is to stay in and hope (and help) that the remaining management can mend some fences and walk away with a little value for us - maybe even what I paid for the shares one day.

Anom..what a silly remark..don't you realise that a lot of the original data on which the independent geologist based his report came from the Angolan authorities in the first place?
You seem to assume that Catoca and NML are at war...their geologists are helping NML....

According to the RNS, it is the Endiama geologists that are working with NML and although Endiama are part of the Catoca partnership, I would suggest that the Endiama staff are reporting directly to Endiama...NOT to Catoca.

IMO Catoca would be a beneficiary of any information collected, but I very much doubt that Alrosa or Odebrecht Mining Services or Daumonty Financing, the other Catoca partners, would be happy about their data being handed over to someone with whom there is no contractual relationship and possibly even a commercial rival to boot.
