I wasn't lost, I knew exactly where I was.

optomistic - 11 Oct 2004 19:55 - 15828 of 23498

I know Socs, just follow the trail of sherry trifle, it has to lead to home :-)

Socrates - 11 Oct 2004 19:56 - 15829 of 23498

Opto, I just replied on the PTG thread and since you mentioned sherry trifle....

optomistic - 11 Oct 2004 20:14 - 15830 of 23498

Socs, we ought to combine the two for the evenings. Large portion of sherry trifle coming up, I'll join you, wouldn't like to see it go to waste.
Followed by Creme de Menthe?

Hils
Enjoy your fish

hilary - 12 Oct 2004 07:33 - 15832 of 23498

LOL Jeff,

Sore point!

I've got an e-mail from the seller this am saying that he had neglected to put a reserve on it and as such he now doesn't want to sell it because it didn't meet his reserve. Ironically, I would've paid for it already, but the PayPal website was down last night. I think he's got a bloody cheek, although I'm not sure what I can really do about it.

morning all,its a bit dark . early start at the dentist this morning 8.20 dont they sleep!!

jeffmack - 12 Oct 2004 09:10 - 15834 of 23498

Hil
Probably not much except report him and leave bad feedback. If he re-advertisers, e.mail any bidders and bad mouth him.

Kayak - 12 Oct 2004 09:50 - 15835 of 23498

You could also sue him in the small claims court Hil if you're feeling particularly vindictive :-)

hilary - 12 Oct 2004 10:37 - 15836 of 23498

Jeff & K.,

I've e-mailed the seller quoting the terms of the User Agreement and have stated that I expect him to honour the agreement. I can't be bothered with small claims courts, so I'll just leave him bad feedback and forget about it if he won't play ball.

jeffmack - 12 Oct 2004 10:40 - 15837 of 23498

If he re-advertises set up a bogus account and bid it up so you win. Then tell him you dont want the item.

hilary - 12 Oct 2004 10:56 - 15838 of 23498

I can tell you're a Millwall fan, Jeffie.

:o)

Afternoon 'All'
Having a late lunch, been out looking for kitchens this morning, anyway bought 2 rolls of wall paper and a bag of plant compost!! I will have to be more dedicated I think :-))

loadsadosh - 12 Oct 2004 13:49 - 15840 of 23498

good afternoon all, I trust that your markets are being kind, everybody seems somewhat preoccupied or otherwise engaged. Come out, come out, where ever you are....... time for a caff'e and some banter, if there's any to be had that is

optomistic - 12 Oct 2004 13:52 - 15841 of 23498
