Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Stan - 05 May 2016 18:35 - 1589 of 12628

The Revolting Muppets.

Surely that is Corbyn at a Momentum meeting (otherwise knows as The People's Front of Judea)

What have the Conservatives ever done for us

Someone's touched a nerve with Stan ,his early morning muppet postings are getting nastier .

Stan - 06 May 2016 11:01 - 1594 of 12628

You still here?

2517GEORGE - 06 May 2016 11:16 - 1595 of 12628

38% of the entire 2014 - 2020 EU budget is allocated to subsidies for European farmers. If 50 billion Euros were being used to prop up heavy industry every year the ''neoliberals'' would be ''up in arms'' complaining that an industry that can't survive in a free market should ''be left to die'' The Duke of Westminster worth £7bn receives £1m in subsidies.-------So says Giles Fraser in The Guardian.

VICTIM - 06 May 2016 11:19 - 1596 of 12628

I grow some potatoes in the back garden every year , must be due a bit of that .

2517GEORGE - 06 May 2016 11:23 - 1597 of 12628

You're just the type of person the EU is looking for VICTIM, now, how much would you accept to stop growing those potatoes?

cynic - 06 May 2016 11:34 - 1598 of 12628

the guardian clearly thinks farm subsidies and similar should be means tested in some way
i doubt that the duke of westminster's tenants would agree, nor those in the duchy of cornwall or anywhere else similar

VICTIM - 06 May 2016 11:34 - 1599 of 12628

Please call me vicky , I don't know george i'd have to see the going rate .

VICTIM - 06 May 2016 11:37 - 1600 of 12628

Well we know the farmers don't pay the lodgings of the so called economic migrants so there is further assistance .

2517GEORGE - 06 May 2016 11:51 - 1601 of 12628

cynic I believe GF was using the D of W as an example of just one of the hordes of well heeled Landed Gentry who are in receipt of subsidies. He went on to say:- Farm subsidies are a ''mechanism to buttress the aristocracy (who own a third of the land in this country) from the chill winds of economic liberalism.
A good enough reason for them to wish to REMAIN.

Excellent EL.. JB,V and our Alf all rolled into one

Fred1new - 06 May 2016 13:39 - 1604 of 12628

That would be a real mess.

All the need is Lynton Crosby as a manager.

What a stench Cameron is going to leave behind him.

Even beginning to think Donald Trump would be preferable as leader of the tory party.

Fred1new - 06 May 2016 18:39 - 1605 of 12628

Brexiters must think it good to have Donald Duck on their side.

Trump says Britain would be better off outside EU
