you can't beat having a really effective firewall, or so I've been told

amber,
I am sure he wouldn't mind me saying this but another user had a similar problem with hotmail not so long ago - he sent himself 2 test messages - one that arrived in 7 secs and one that arrived in 16 hours so there is a certain amount of inconsistency in delivery times.
Because the mails sent through the board all eminate from us with the same bulletin board address, it may be the AOL are stopping them thinking they are spam - this is why you should contact them to ask them to allow ALL mail from Moneyam.com
Let me know how you get on.

Two firewalls installed really keeps things out!

Ian, I've had delays too. I think it may be due to your gateway taking a long time to retry when it is unable to deliver. Ask Jon to check the retry intervals on your smtp gateway. There will always be some errors on first transmission, particularly with certain servers, but it should retry quickly for a couple of times before waiting for longer. Something like 5 mins for a couple of times and then every hour perhaps.

Maybe an XP service pack 2 upgrade would help ....not

While you are on the case, I stopped receiving MAM mails some weeks ago. A few tried on here but they never arrived. I use Pipex

Amber,
I sent you another message a little while ago ...... just before I foolishly decided to do the school run and ended up getting stuck in a massive jam while all the mums who couldn't drive their husband's X5's and S class Mercs properly attempted to park 6' from the kerb.
Incidentally Ian, while you're on the case, I've not received any am messages for ages. I'm feeling unloved.
