Jobble.com - Job Search Engine

Bullshare - 03 Dec 2008 14:07

We have recently launched Jobble.com in beta, this is a general job search engine and sits well alongside our existing specialist jobsite financialappointments.com.

We already have over 300,000 jobs on the site, so do give it a try.

It gets even better:

"Found 74,648 Lazy Sod jobs in London"

Bullshare - 04 Dec 2008 09:17 - 18 of 25

Think the words 'jobs' and 'london' in your searched might be the reason !

PeterG - 04 Dec 2008 09:28 - 19 of 25

I didn't include 'jobs', only London.

Constructive criticism: to be useful the search needs to be much more accurate. Try "Italian translator" / London... normally there should be a handful of openings, but jobble finds over 75,000. Who's going to bother trawling through that many?

Bullshare - 04 Dec 2008 09:31 - 20 of 25

PeterG: I do agree with you. We need to tweak the search algorithms.

Thanks for all the feedback, very useful before we fully launch the service

PeterG: Kayak, that's who.

Couldn't spot this in your jobble jobbie, Mikey :P

Damn! The job applicant has to be able to swim. Does swimming like a stone qualify I wonder?!

zzaxx99 - 16 Jan 2009 11:14 - 25 of 25

Hmm. Had a quick look - it appears to be searching on Job Description OR location, rather than AND location, which is certainly a "feature", but not necessarily a good one!
