Hi Mike,

thanks for the kind invitation as per post below but Im afraid Im likely to be called for a non serious operation on my middle ear in the very near future and i wouldnt like to commit as it can take quite a few weeks of rehab.

Im sure some kind soul would love to take the role on.

Please keep us up to date with progress.

Cheers GF........

sure a lot would be interested as long as they were'nt too expensive say a fiver or less.

goldfinger, funnily we are about to launch such a thing, www.brokerforecasts.com its in beta. basically a short form note in a timely feed with recommendation and target price. We have plans to extend the product in later phases but unlikely to be able to sell the note itself as there are copyright issues .Drop me an email to mike@moneyam.com and you can beta test it for us !!

RF,

Could it be that like me you don't usually like change. Just came back from hols to find the change of format. Excellent, looks very good.

I'll get used to it, I suppose...

Problem finding rns's with this new version :they don't stand out.

HARRYCAT - 18 Oct 2010 09:04 - 20 of 48

That's 'cos you are bleary eyed & hung over from the weekend! (C'mon Everton! ;o)

Hi Folks.

My first post here, though I've used Simply Charts for some weeks and liked the layout. Some comments:

1. Why weren't we told about the change in this age of digital comms?
2. I always liked the historical chart alongside the day's chart. I miss is, particularly as I always set it to 5 days view - my timescale. You now have to go to another tab and fiddle with a complex view to get the same info. Retrograde step.
3. I like he additional info presented in an easily accessible form.

Just my two pence-worth.

I'm having a problem with when a new rns comes out.....

unluckyboy - 18 Oct 2010 10:57 - 23 of 48

no rns or no upto date disscussions.

Bullshare - 18 Oct 2010 11:34 - 24 of 48

Sorry about the RNS we will make sure its put back on the page under 'News' also the latest update time and date on BB's

Juraj(MoneyAM) - 18 Oct 2010 13:12 - 25 of 48

All, thank you for your suggestions.

* RNS news are now included
* discussion/thread date fixed - now showing "last update" time
* historic prices can be accessed via the first icon underneath the charts
* "more" links added to various sections

Great job guys!

skinny - 19 Oct 2010 07:18 - 27 of 48

One annoying result of the upgrade.

Previously, if in a thread you could click on the epic in the title and be taken to the quote page. From there, if you clicked on an RNS/announcement, it opened in a new window, enabling the contenet of the announcement to be cut and pasted back into the first window. This is no longer possible.

On edit : Ignore the above, I've just realised I can open the announcement in a "new window". (its early in the morning!)

Mike,

This is a great improvement imo on the previous version, primarily because the page loads so much faster.

But......

1) My main pet hate is that you insist on using the mid-price on sets, rather than the official price which is the last AT. I think I first mentioned this about 7 or 8 years ago.

2) I don't know if it's easy (or possible) to stream the chart and last few trades on the new quote page, rather than having them only update on page refresh.

aldwickk - 19 Oct 2010 08:45 - 29 of 48

The info on VGM say's it is a Diamond miner when it is a Gold miner.

Bullshare - 19 Oct 2010 08:59 - 30 of 48

Hilary: only 7 or 8 years ago!!! I do know all about this SETS current price thingy, but its a universal marker and to be honest whenever we do display current price people go 'oh its not the mid price'.

It is possible to stream chart and trades but then how would I pay the bills for my son's drinking at UNI , pages = advertising s :-0

Bullshare - 19 Oct 2010 09:01 - 31 of 48

aldwickk: looks like some duff info from Reuters who supply us that bit, surprised they got it wrong, name of company gives away what they mine for! We will take a look

hilary - 19 Oct 2010 09:12 - 32 of 48

I get all that about what others might say, Mike, but the problem in using mid-price is that the high and low prices also will not be correct. Anyone using OHLC data for building indicators and screening then runs the risk of generating inaccurate results. In addition, when you build charts for a thinly traded stock you can end up with a load of false gaps on the chart because the highs and lows aren't being recorded correctly.

Otherwise, it's good to see your son's got his priorities right. But please sort out the double login box on the homepage.

:o)

Mr Euro - 19 Oct 2010 18:26 - 33 of 48

Bit behind the times but a coupel fo requests:

- Dow Heatmap that works
- Steaming heatmaps (not autofresh)

Seymour Clearly - 19 Oct 2010 20:24 - 34 of 48

I like the idea of steaming heatmaps. Could solve all our household energy needs :-)

greekman - 21 Oct 2010 08:43 - 35 of 48

You can please some of the people some of the time all of the people some of the time some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time?
I for one like the mid price.
Just thought I would let you know. It also shows the above saying is true.

Regards Greek.
