I think many look in on this thread, but "feel" inadequate to make "sensible" comments.

Also, in general interest in this type of website varies with the market.

Many posting on the ups and sh themselves on the down and keeping quiet.

I know I was doing very well until Jan 2018, but the last 5months has been sideways and the last month down.

I have been looking at the charts on many of my holdings, many with the note to sell some.

I wish I had.

I think the investors are nervous and hope that by being silent won't be noticed.

Maybe the market will recover.

Your efforts are very much appreciated. I'm very happy to post it the weeks you are on holiday if you can tell me how to copy the script in. The only time I tried it when you were away and MAM couldn't be bothered i didn't go so well.

We've discussed LLOY to death anyway. It's only my CFD's I want to shift. The rest I'm pretty much happy to hold forever.

Same with MARS really. I've collected a load all sub 100 recently which I'll keep long term. Again just want to shift my CFD's. 102p will do me on these. I've already sold a few at a profit.


Last year was great for me. Amazing. This year I'm just bumbling along.

Best trade of the year for me is PCF which is up 40%. Everything else is unremarkable apart from INTU which isn't going so well compared with year end.

I have high hopes for CTO and NMD at the interims later in the year.


It would be really helpful if the government could move a little quicker on Brexit. The uncertainty is dragging everything down.

Or if Trump could stop escalating trade wars that would help too.

We've got 36 viewers but only about 5 posters so that means there's 21 people who view but don't post.

Fred - I'm guessing that most posters on MAM are of a certain age, also guessing that at 60 next year, I'm one of the younger ones :-)

I'm currently mulling over the PHNX rights issue, which if I take it up in full, will make them my biggest holding by value after BP .
