if its true then thats the best for both, and they can them move on.no one likes litigation hanging over them, especially shareholders.

petralva - 24 Feb 2004 21:31 - 17 of 27111

That would be good news indeed especially if the trial results show a promising move forward shortly...?

a little thought . with bprg buying aquafilm , how will this affect the patent lawsuit going on between seo and bprg?

bosley - 11 Mar 2004 13:37 - 25 of 27111

some hefty selling going on today. no news has been announced , wondering what its all about? any ideas/

bosley - 12 Mar 2004 17:30 - 26 of 27111

still no news announced . seems to me like bad news is on its way judging by the volume of sales going on .nearly 2 mil today. and when it does come people will still try to make you believe there isnt any insider dealing.............
would love to know whats going on with this share.i still intend to hold as nothing has changed for me and will continue to hold until something is announced, then take it from there.

good news i think . now we should see more developements on the commercial side of things involving ingel . and it shows that the company has not been sat on its hands doing nothing .

Stanelco PLC said it is buying plant and machinery for water-soluble materials from Sixela Venture Leasing Ltd for around 322,500 stg in the form of shares.

The plant is currently leased to Stanelco's wholly owned subsidiary, Adept Polymers Ltd.

The groups also reported 'significant' progress with its InGel Technologies venture, which uses radio frequency (RF) technology to make capsules for oral and skin applications using water-soluble materials.

Stanelco said it will now build a pilot commercial scale machine for manufacturing capsules to nutritional and pharmaceutical standards.

Chief executive Ian Balchin said: 'This is a true breakthrough in the commercial processing of water-soluble and edible materials which I believe is leading to a revolutionary new generation of commercial RF processing equipment.'

The consideration for the plant bought from Sixela comprised 6 mln Stanelco shares. Yesterday, Stanelco shares closed at 5.375 pence, valuing the deal at 322,500 stg. The plant and equipment has been independently valued at 395,000 stg, the group said.

two good announcements from stanelco . buying the machinery instead of leasing will save the company money long term , i think . it also shows the company has a lot of faith in the potential of its products.the progress with ingel developements is also great news as InGel Technologies is a co-venture between Stanelco, plc. and Cardinal Health,
the leading provider of products and services for the health care industry.
hopefully this is the start of good, positive newsflow from stanelco which has been quiet of late .

Odd one this, with Stan about half the size of Bioprogress and subject to the latters wrath - there is a Court-case hearing soon - anyone got the grif on this? I note that few mention this, whilst praising the company.
I suspect this is holding back the price - the uncertainty....yet I thought Stan was already big in this capsule business, but it seems I'm wrong as usual!

I get confused by what they do and what they are progressing towards - talks last year were of starch-based manufacturing - is this what the machinery is for? If so it would help me to understand, if they said so!

Poor communication with potential holders - I'm watching on the sidelines; but this current price looks high to me, compared with recent history.

Posters here, praise the buying of machinery - but are these "new" machines or some old gear that's surplus? I thought Stan was going to sell machinery, so what are they buying it for?
As I said: poor communication, that's my take!

bosley - 16 Mar 2004 18:11 - 30 of 27111

hangon , where do you get your info from ?as far as i am concerned buying the machinery that they were using means its second hand .... tried and tested in situ and it works well. that has to be good news.stanelco are not just a one thing company . look up www.stanelco.com to find out . i have held these for a while now and i am very much looking long term . the patent entitlement action with bprg could take years to sort out, or could take months , who knows how these things work? if anyone could tell me then i would appreciate it .
as far as the price looking high , i disagree. as bprg showed , it only takes one deal to push the price . stanelco are still in r and d stage with many products in developement. with big companies like sainsburys and mac d waiting for developements as well as drug companies then i feel its worth getting in on the ground floor. dyor of course , but this is a long term play i think .

bosley - 19 Mar 2004 17:52 - 31 of 27111

some good buys today. has seo had a write up in ic ?

bosley - 24 Mar 2004 15:25 - 32 of 27111

dont know whats going on . all sells so far today. whats happening? am starting to wonder now if bprg are now too big to compete with . they seem to have seo;s potential market locked up . talk on the bprg thread about seo's partner in gelatin replacement going with bprg . does this explain the sells ? any ideas?

driver - 29 Mar 2004 15:13 - 33 of 27111

Stop panicking Bosley and add while they are low be patient.

bosley - 01 Apr 2004 15:52 - 34 of 27111

why should i add when all i see are sells , big sells at that? driver , do you know something i dont?

driver - 01 Apr 2004 16:57 - 35 of 27111

I dont know any more than you its how you interpret the data the company is making all the right sounds there has been a rights issue that has been taken up for there R&D. and the machinery has been purchased with shares not cash, the company that sold it are not stupid they would have had a serious look at what they were getting into.
You should buy this speculative stock to a limit of what you can afford to loose in s or a % of your total portfolio then Add to that limit when the stock is down, if you havent got to your limit yet you want to see it down not up, as in my case also as well as seo , asm and skp. If all you are seeing is sells someone must be buying.
The problem comes if the stock takes of, when do you get rid of the bloody thing, that when you cant sleep at nights.
Sweet dreams.
