Proteome Science on the move again (PRM)

drum - 27 Jan 2005 10:02

15% rise in two days and probably more to come. Any disillusioned followers should take another look.

No posts on PRM here today even with Advfn down?

Maybe it's not so over-hyped as people think ;o) Nice chart recently, would be good to see confirmed breakout alongside deal news. Can't be far away now.

I think this will explode when the 1st deal is in the bag. Lot of hot money will pile in then. As a future long term holder i ham happy to sit back and watch. Have been spread betting these for fun as ,(long) of course
Good luck all
Dave

Leedslad - you may be right about 'hot money' piling in when the deals come, but I also think a lot of investors/long termers are as well waiting for that certainty before getting back in or adding. Eg saw the following comment posted just this morning on another bb:

"i think i will wait and pay a premium after any news. this is the safer option imho. i've bought into prm before on big deal rumours only to be disappointed. i would rather buy post deal."

Major institutional buying will also probably only come when we have tangible evidence of cash flowing in the company in the form of upfronts etc, so far Fidelity have been about the only ones prepared to take the risk beforehand.

PRM are I think still suffering from 'CJP promises fatigue', with investors/traders having the attitude of 'I'll believe it when I see it'. But I think a fairly large proportion of the 131m shares in issue are very tightly held at this point, which should provide a supply squeeze and subsequent strong rise when the deals are confirmed.

Edited Oct 05 - because this and previous posts showing chart progression etc have been rather overtaken by events (or to be strictly accurate, the lack of events) ;o)

Clearly TMT confirmation (or another similarly-sized commercial deal) is the key for further progress or analysis (as it has been since original HOA way back on 1st April). Until then, not much more to be said ....
