Why are we again at 10.5p bid?
It doesn't add up...
Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop
Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!
Why sell now at a loss?
Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!
Best of luck all.

From paulypilot on advfn:
"Have a look at the valuation of CyberSource, the company which is suing RTD for alleged patent infringement. It's barely profitable, yet is valued at $204m !!!
Also, check out UK-Listed Neteller, whose shares are going bananas at the moment. Valued at 302m (although much more profitable than RTD).
This whole area of online payment processing seems to be coming alive at the moment - CyberSource were up over 7% today, Neteller up 19% today.
Revisited the numbers for RTD today, and I reckon it looks dirt cheap for a highly profitable (circa 20% operating profit margin is unusually high for any business), growth story. Plus it has net cash of around 6m, and single-digit forward PER. These shares should be priced a good bit higher IMO, to reflect strong earnings, high margins, and growth.
I think we're onto a winner here guys".
Also, the Times is suggesting that RTD are going to make an upbeat announcement next week.
How sentiment changes !

Other comment:
* Ashtead Group a smaller stock to watch - Talk of an upbeat statement from Retail Decisions - Talk that like-for-like sales at ScS Upholsters are ahead of expectations.

I assumed that RTD's performance yesterday was simply as a result of e.bay's spectacular figures?

Morning all,
Paulypilot is posting on advfn (isn't he also a well respected regular poster on the Fool ?), here's his latest take on RTD (and I have to agree):
"...Anyway, RTD looks to me one of the best stocks I've seen for a good long time. Have held & traded these for several years, but internet payment providers & associated products are really taking off at the moment, and are being priced as growth stocks.
For whatever reason (and people may be right in suggesting the litigation with CyberSource might be holding back RTD, as it's a new issue & the market needs to understand a bit more about who is likely to win !), RTD shares now look ridiculously cheap for a growth stock in a hot sector.
I spent a bit more time looking at CyberSource itself - it's a NASDAQ listed company, all the figures are on the web, and it's only just moving into tiny profits this year, a small fraction of what RTD make, yet it's capitalised at about 3 times what RTD. They should just buy RTD instead of suing them !!!..."

Trading Statement
'Second Profit Upgrade in Two Years'
Retail Decisions (ReD), the fuel card operator and a world leader in card fraud
prevention and payment processing, is pleased to announce trading has been
better than expected since the announcement of its Interim results on 10
September.
As a result, the Board expects the Group's full year profit before exceptional
costs to be materially in excess of current market expectations. This is ReD's
second profit upgrade in two years.
Current Trading
Trading in ReD's Fraud Prevention & Payment Processing operation has been very
strong, with increased profitability in the third quarter. The business has seen
a particularly high volume of transactions for US telephony clients in the
important Card not Present (CNP) area.
Since the Interim results ReD has signed a number of contracts, including an
important new contract with The Finish Line Inc for provision of CNP fraud
prevention services. In the Card Present area, ReD has sold an additional
licence for its leading edge fraud prevention technology, PRISM.
In ReD's Fuel Card business, sales of newly issued cards have also continued to
exceed expectations, with August being a record month. This increase in sales,
combined with the continued high fuel prices (which increases ReD's commission
on card sales) has led to a very strong performance in the third quarter, which
is expected to continue at least until the year end.
With this increased level of trading in both of the Group's key operations and
with continued strict cost control, the Board expects the full year profit
performance before exceptional costs to be materially in excess of current
market expectations. This increase will also provide a strong base for trading
in the first quarter of 2005.
Litigation
Over the last two months the Group has been investigating and vigorously
defending the patent infringement action brought against it in the USA in August
2004 by a competitor, CyberSource Corporation. The Board retains the belief,
expressed on 10 September 2004, that ReD's operations do not infringe any valid
claims of the asserted patent.
Furthermore, during the investigations, ReD and its lawyers have uncovered '
prior art' pre-dating the CyberSource patent which challenges the granting of
that company's patent and its ability to bring any action based upon it.
Accordingly, on 26 October 2004, ReD filed a re-examination request asking the
US Patent and Trademark Office to ascertain whether CyberSource's patent is
valid in its current form. ReD has also filed a motion requesting a stay in the
original case pending the outcome of the re-examination request.
The original action alleges an infringement by ReD of a US patent granted to
CyberSource aimed at preventing fraud in a niche area relating to the use of
credit cards over the Internet. The allegations appear to relate to a very
small part of ReD's Internet based CNP fraud prevention operations in the US,
the whole of which in total account for approximately only 3% of Group turnover.
The remainder of ReD's operations, including the Australian Fuel Card business
and the PRISM neural network technology, are entirely unaffected by the action.
Given the circumstances outlined above, ReD is not making any provision for
damages in relation to the case. However, an exceptional provision of 0.5m
will be made in the financial year ending December 2004 to cover legal costs
(both incurred to date and anticipated in the future).
Commenting, Carl Clump, Chief Executive of ReD said:
'Trading is stronger than we had anticipated at the Interim stage which will
lead to a better than expected profit performance for this year. This
improvement in trading will also provide us with a solid base from which to
start 2005.'
