Tellon;
as i said a few days ago, it's beggining to look overbought. we've gone from
176 up to 185 in 4 weeks, with no particularly negative US news other than oil.

goldman sucks and warren buffet both think $ is going to remain weak, and on the
international scene the only currency preferred to is the swiss.
is viewed as being cheap at these levels, and the steam train will keep on rolling up over the medium term imho.

the correction from 185 down to 183 over the last day or two may be enough,
it all depends on the oil situation, which i think has a lot of mileage in it
before it's played out. interest rate thoughts are currently playing second fiddle.

my current view is we may retrace a little more - as i said 'tother day - to
181-182, but my view is it'll be up, up and away again after that. it would'nt surprise me to be testing the 191 high over the next 4-8 weeks.

but please remember - i'm no expert !!!!!

Beeblebrox - 03 Jun 2004 15:33 - 1605 of 11056

if it holds over 184 we could be turning a tad bullish,
key level now 183 92-96 at mo.

Tellon - 03 Jun 2004 15:57 - 1606 of 11056

Stoped out +40 looking to short from anywhere near 1.8500 though..

Tellon - 03 Jun 2004 15:59 - 1607 of 11056

Or maybe not.. I give up.. Im buying M&S shares..

Beeblebrox - 03 Jun 2004 16:15 - 1608 of 11056

tellon :~)

foale - 04 Jun 2004 08:19 - 1609 of 11056

Morning all

Playing the short side today
as the second attempt at the recent highs
was rejected last night
though unsure of how far it will go

or where my target should be
in an ideal world 18280-18300
Still its about where to place your stops
...and let the target take care of itself

hilary - 04 Jun 2004 08:29 - 1610 of 11056

I still happen to think that there is a fair bit of mileage on the short side but I also feel that it needs to get below the 18250/18300 levels in order to get the bulls out of the market.

Tellon - 04 Jun 2004 11:00 - 1611 of 11056

Non-Farm Payrolls day!!

Who wants to make a million!!

Tellon - 04 Jun 2004 13:57 - 1612 of 11056

Damn It.. Not me.. - 27 pips

foale - 04 Jun 2004 14:45 - 1613 of 11056

About now is where it starts getting hard
shorted it from the highs..to 8403..

and still I am inclined toshort

foale - 04 Jun 2004 15:18 - 1614 of 11056

Hilary what you making of all this

foale - 04 Jun 2004 15:48 - 1615 of 11056

Looks like I am the only one trading FX...heavily short atm
and feeling a bit more confident

Sue 42 - 04 Jun 2004 16:12 - 1616 of 11056

I am too - I am scalping short positions.

hilary - 04 Jun 2004 16:20 - 1617 of 11056

foale,

I'm just standing still with this atm. What I make one day, I give back the next. Got stopped from my short on the crazy 1:30 price action.

Tim (nice but dim) giving more enjoyment this afternoon. I'll look at it again on Monday.

prodman - 04 Jun 2004 16:29 - 1618 of 11056

hilary - if you trade every other day, think of how much you would be making, well that's if you pick the winning day first. :-))

Tellon - 06 Jun 2004 20:21 - 1619 of 11056

Any one have a economic calendar for this week?

hilary - 07 Jun 2004 07:03 - 1620 of 11056

I'll do it in a few minutes time, Tellon.

It was on the website on Friday and I nearly posted it then. For some strange reason it then reverted back to the calendar up to 4th June and it's been like that all weekend. I notice that it's now changed again.

Ian,

If you read this ......... the system isn't allowing me to complete my post 1620 which will close off the html table. If I let you have the remainder of the post, will you be able to edit it in for me please? Otherwise I'll have to play about with the table later when I've got some more time. TIA.
