This certainly not a share for the fainthearted but with Walmart saying to are going to use corn based packaging-with one US head of packaging saying SEO a worldleader in 3 out of 5 categories-with Walmart and Tyson visiting UK I can only be optimistic about this baby although I wish it stopped crawling and started to walk

JJS - 26 Apr 2006 11:59 - 16197 of 27111

Three more days for the SP to get up a head of steam towards AGM time, things could get even more interesting.

Good to see EVO backing up the Wal*Mart+Tyson story, well done to ssanebs for taking the time to check, rather than hurl abuse and try and discredit the source like some (as usual), pity those that didn't listen when the story was Emailed by PM1 on Monday, will they ever learn ?

For Oilywag

Will lighten up now. As for attending - good point. Unfortunately, I live up in the Highlands of Scotland presently, and my business can't afford me the time to attend. As a result I would be grateful if you would ask the qestions on my behalf. With your antlers (with horns) I'm sure that they daren't refuse you.

Regards

Em, the price seems to be going the wrong way today.

TheMaster - 26 Apr 2006 13:31 - 16200 of 27111

Due to the MM's automatic trades droping the sp, duping punters to sell before the good news next week, in order to sell them back at a higher price.

KEAYDIAN - 26 Apr 2006 13:33 - 16201 of 27111

One day I'll get the hang of this game, hell I might even make a profit.

Barry Harris - 26 Apr 2006 13:40 - 16202 of 27111

Looks like mm`s getting stock to sell higher later imo

JJS - 26 Apr 2006 15:27 - 16203 of 27111

And plenty of it !

Back up again by the close ?

Watch out TheMaster is back lock up your daughters.

BOS in answer to your question, I think 10p would be the tipping point for me. but do not see it going that low, esp if this news really does come, but v dubious.

May be i am worrying too much but the news that walmart are going to speak to Grampian and get it from the horses mouth scares the xxxx out of me, what are Grampian going to say, well it took 12mnths to get right it keeps breaking etc etc and we do not know for sure that it does work now, I mean why no news release i would have thought knowing SEO that it would have been shouted from the rooftops that they are now in full ramp, on the brighter side they may say well it seals 99.9999%, it lasts longer, its cheaper, etc etc and why take walmart there unless you know Grampian are 100% positive??

Heres hoping

PET is expected to slip

Purchasing January 3, 2006

Analysts reckon prices of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins will slide and then stabilize far below the recent peak because of decreased prices and expanding supply for key raw materials.

Bottle-grade PET resins spot price shot up 18/lb to 95 in the wake of the two hurricanes that rocked the Gulf Coast in late summer. However, most feedstock ethylene glycol and paraxylene producers are back on line, their prices have been returning slowly to normal levels. Bottle-grade spot PET slipped back to 85 in December. Thats why PET averaged 85 price for all of 2005, up from 69 in 2004; Purchasingdata.com has a 2006 full-year forecast of 84. Analyst Jeffrey Zekauskas at J.P. Morgan Securities says the PET market could be turbulent in 2006 because of fluctuating raw materials pricing. He points out that benchmark PET contracts set in November and December declined by a total of 14/lb and suggests a first quarter spot-price decline of as much as 7/lb. He says supply growth is expected over the next two years is expected to surpass demand growth, which could become a pricing depressant. "Recent volatility and historically high prices for PET are leading consumers to look for alternative plastics sources," says Zekauskas. "Applications such as food containers and sheet wrapping could see substitution of polypropylene and polystyrene."

2006 average PET price of 84/lb in my calculation equates to $1,848/tonne.

This gives a reasonable basis for comparing the cost of Starpol.

garyble - 26 Apr 2006 22:21 - 16208 of 27111

The spot price for polypropylene is approximately half the PET price.

Oilywag - 26 Apr 2006 23:46 - 16209 of 27111

barney

I can't imagine SEO playing Russian roulette with their future business prospects in the USA by taking WalMart to Grampian if they - Grampian and SEO - were not reasonably sure that the machine they showed them in a commercial environment was not working close to 100% efficiency can you?

The oily one

stockdog - 27 Apr 2006 07:44 - 16210 of 27111

garyble - I think your maths may be a little off.

84c/lb divide by 1.75 = 48p/lb multiply by 2.2 = 105.6p/kg multiply by 1,000= 1,056/tonne ??

EDIT: I see now that you probably meant $1,848/tonne - correct maths, wrong symbolism!

Oilywag,

I agree, and I think the deal is almost done, the visit being just a way for Walmart and Tyson to confirm with Grampian staff, that everything is 100% OK now.

barney12345 - 27 Apr 2006 10:22 - 16212 of 27111

Oily, John, well you would think,

but this SEO remember.

shamona - 27 Apr 2006 11:09 - 16213 of 27111

Last time I came on here and said BPRG was away to double it did just that!

Guess what? Its away to double again in the next fortnight.

All the best for your SEO holdings; glad that court case is done and dusted.

See you again in a couple weeks;-)

garyble - 27 Apr 2006 13:30 - 16214 of 27111

SD,

Thanks for pointing that out, I will edit the symbol.
