BKK2,

A matter of perception I'm sure. If not stated precisely, words/phrases like "soon", "shortly", "near future", "cusp", "verging", etc are all subject to the speaker's point of reference.

Nothing has changed to the negative from when I entered this over a year ago, in fact, there have been many positives, albeit the timescales have been way out.

I would only start to get worried if any of the major "potential" deals have fallen through.

I would certainly expect a deal or two of note to be struck before Autumn 2006. I would also expect a trial or two to have commenced within the same timeframe.

All really depends on how long you wish to tie your funds into this and the magnitude of the gains you expect.

If a delegation from WM & Tyson took the time to visit and SEO were confident enough to show them a working GS unit, plus Grampian happy enough with the unit etc, must surely speak volumes.

All boils down to whether it met the expectations of the WM/Tyson bods, which I'm sure it must have done if GS still achieves the savings etc originally claimed.

Garyble,

That's just about my take on the situation.

Thanks Garyble, I know what you say is right, just getting a little impatient for that big r.n.s

Walmart talks were last week, they could have run into this week, as they were discussing how/when/where trials would be running in the US for the Starpol products, and I would think there was a lot to discuss and finalise, before an RNS could be issued.

This week talks are with Perseco, and we don't know when this week the talks were starting, so they could run into next week too.

I am hoping for an RNS on Walmart trials by the end of this week, along the lines of the ASDA Starpol trial RNS, but with a lot more info on who(Tyson ?)/what(Starpol 2000/3000/wrap)/where(Arkasas ?)/Timescale(30 days/60 days ?) maybe something on Greenseal US trials too :)

A green finish !

Who fancies a blue finish tomorrow ?

EWRobson - 09 May 2006 16:58 - 16361 of 27111

I think we would have known about the events with WalMart/Tyson and Perseco if we hadn't had the AGM last week and a lot of thirsty investors, never mind the hungry and the bereft, clamouring for news. With such large organisations, unlikely that anything would be signed and sealed so quickly - a month seems more reasonable. So lets go away and come back at the end of June and see what has happened. I think there will be some positive news by then and the sp could be on the move.

My bet for next announcement is US FDA approval of Starpol 3000.Anyone else like to hazard a guess?Supreemly confident.Mad Pad.

oblomov - 09 May 2006 19:05 - 16363 of 27111

A month? 6 months is more like it I'd have thought. Things just dont move that quickly in an organisation the size of Walmart.

Wednesday it is then Hatti.

zscrooge - 09 May 2006 19:40 - 16365 of 27111

I thought we were on the cusp and there were definite deals to be announced this week with Perseco and then goodbye 13p. Is it next wednesday or is it June?

garyble - 09 May 2006 20:18 - 16366 of 27111

Found the following dated 10th November 2005:
"NatureWorks clear plastic polylactide PLA can be shaped into a variety of bottles, containers, trays, film and other packaging. NatureWorks LLC operates a global-scale facility in Blair, Nebraska, USA, capable of producing more than 140,000 metric tons (300 million pounds) of NatureWorks PLA per year. From cradle to resin, the production of NatureWorks PLA uses 68 percent less fossil fuel resources than traditional plastics (PET) and it is the world's first greenhouse-gas-neutral polymer".

If the MMPs take off, which I'm sure they will, that would equate to ~50% of Natureworks capacity, if the MMPs are for the 1.5bn tray product at 75,000 tonnes pa of Starpol.

Zscrooge,

Its next Wednesday, just wait and see....you heard it here first!!

JJS - 09 May 2006 21:12 - 16368 of 27111

Mad Pad,

I will go for the next announcement being one of the following, top is most likely IMHO

Walmart US trials agreement (they want fast-track, they get it !)
Perseco MMF deal (Perseco seem in a big hurry to get Starpol moving too)
UK Greenseal order for 40 or 50 machines maybe from Grampian Foods (After all they are happy with it !)
US Greenseal order or trial for Tyson Foods (They have seen it in full commercial production, a deal must be close IMHO)

None say underperform or sell :)

Yaaaaawn, great stuff JJS - but the SP is still 12.5p. All I want to know is when I can order the new Bentley!

We can get the hype from PM1's website - do we really need a mirror version of it here?

JJS - 10 May 2006 09:00 - 16373 of 27111

Oblomov,

It's not the directors fault you are impatient LOL !

I see no hype on PM1's site, as you haven't been there how would you know ?, all I can see is you attacking him at every opportunity, even when one does not exist, if you want to see a mirror of PM1's site here, wake up you already have it, drivers research thread has copied most of PM1's research, and stole the images he had explicit rights to from Stanelco, so give it a rest please.

oblomov - 10 May 2006 09:05 - 16374 of 27111

I know because your assumption that I haven't been there is incorrect. We all know where it is - we dont need a running commentary here of PM1's pronouncements. How much is he paying you to do it? I'll match it for you not to! lol
