THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Alds,

Didn't think much of the other parties.

If you look back at earlier post, at time of the last election, you may see other reasons for me not wishing to doing so.

Hays,

The last thing I wish for is a recession, but as previously suggested that with this government of u-turns, incompetence and crazy economic policies was going to produce the chaos we are now seeing.

The leadership and disarray reminds me of the sleaziness and misgovernment of the Major years.

Unfortunately, many honest. hard working and decent individuals and their families, who don't deserves the social problems being created by Osborne and Cameron's bluster and stupidity are going to suffer and not members of the cabinet and their cronies.

That is what stinks to me.

-----------------

Listening to the shenanigans of the Cameron and Murdochs at the Leveson enquiry this is to my mind a corrupt political period.

Haystack - 25 Apr 2012 17:51 - 16370 of 81564

I see no chaos. I see quite sensible policies. The international community liikes our policies as well. We consistently get high credit rating and praise for our policies. I can see Labour don't like them as their polcies are 'tax and spend' and when that doesn't work they try 'borrow and spend'. The Keynesian economists like Ed Ball are still whining their constant refrain of government intervention and public spending.

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 18:09 - 16371 of 81564

Fred

If you were thinking that , then why was/are all your post's anti Tory , anyway there is no excuse for wasting your vote when other people are dieing for the right to vote.

Fred1new - 25 Apr 2012 18:45 - 16372 of 81564

Hays,

Wait for the next credit rating.

Tories have manage the economy over the last two years, moving from elements of recovery to recession.

B. brilliant.

---------------

Aids,

To help you once again.

Because I was misled by the tory press, tory party and various posters into believing that the tories were going to walk the last election and then walk on water after it.

They were boasting and now appear to be sinking into their own sleaze.

-------

In case you don't realise it, in this country, as yet, I don't need permission, or an excuse not to vote.

People are dying for the right to be able to vote, not necessarily "have to vote".

They are often hoping for a suitable form of democracy.

In this country and many others, democracy is being perverted by money and transfer of cash for honours and purchase of media outlets and propaganda.

Also, media attention or suppression based on future promises.

As can be seen by Leveson and other exposures.

=============

Check the cost or expenses of the USA election.

We are going down the same pathway of bribery and corruption at an ever increasing rate.

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 19:04 - 16373 of 81564

Fred

Didn't think you believed everything you read in the press [ the Sun , Mirror ... ] , so you thought that , that landlord was a pervert and had murdered that girl as well ?

I think you should apologise to me for your hypercritical remark's to me.

2517GEORGE - 25 Apr 2012 19:07 - 16374 of 81564

aldwickk, one of Fred's much earlier posts perhaps 2-3 years ago stated that ''he liked to wind up the blue rinse brigade'' hence his anti tory rhetoric.
2517

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 19:18 - 16375 of 81564

Wonder if his related to that other Welsh wind bag , Neil Kinnock

Fred1new - 25 Apr 2012 19:45 - 16376 of 81564

Alds.

If you are referring to my earlier remark "Because I was misled by the tory press, tory party and various posters into believing that the tories were going to walk the last election and then walk on water after it."

as 2517 recalls I was taking the proverbial "mickey" once again.

As far as your remark is concerned the apology I think is due from you not from me. The comments were made by you.

Personally, although it may be hard to believe I even doubt the papers frequently and myself sometimes.

--------------------------------------------------

The latter often proves to have been unnecessary!

Another, piece of history for you. I once clipped Neil across the ears. (50 odd years ago.)

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 20:15 - 16377 of 81564

" I was taking the proverbial "mickey" once again."

No you wasn't , you are a liar and a pompous self opinionated tosser

Why didn't you vote Labour or any-other party if you thought the Tory's would be such a disaster ? didn't you think that Labour under Gordon Brown would be better then a Tory party winning. Why did you waste your vote , and why do you waste your time posting such rubbish ....... to sum up your a total waste of space on here .

Fred1new - 25 Apr 2012 21:33 - 16378 of 81564

LOL,

I think it must be past your bed time.

Why not go and have a nice lie down.

TANKER - 26 Apr 2012 10:55 - 16379 of 81564

listening to this LEVESON inquiry . it is a joke just wasteing tax payers money what recession.

so when is DAVID KELLY going have a public inquiry.
which is far more important he was murdered by ?.
as for leveson he must be a right wing tory with what he says .

TANKER - 26 Apr 2012 10:59 - 16380 of 81564

how many MILLIONS as it cost this LEVESON INQUIRY . and the problem being is that NO one will go to prison or be fined.
it is just to get back at the news papers for exposing the MPs ripping the tax payers
OFF with bogus claims.

mnamreh - 26 Apr 2012 11:11 - 16381 of 81564

.

ahoj - 26 Apr 2012 11:28 - 16382 of 81564

These inquires keep them busy, appearing as being productive!!!. I think there should be a clear definition of crime and criminal, then these guys won't need to waste BBC time to talk rubbish.

Ken Livingston didn't waste his time when he appeared there. That's the right way.

TANKER - 26 Apr 2012 12:33 - 16383 of 81564

back to pensions . any one now saving for there retirement by putting money into a pension fund are complete fools I did not put money into this rip off funds and retired at 54 and my money I saved is still worth more now than when I retired .and if I want to have the cash it takes me about 10 mins in my account .
it is not very smart to put money in other peoples hands .
but the gov want you to.but they are liars and thiefs

Fred1new - 26 Apr 2012 12:46 - 16384 of 81564

N,

I think Kelly did recognise consensus opinion but I think he believed in the principle of honest professional opinion and not bowing to the whims of those in political need.

His inquest while not revealing what the public would like to have known, brought in the only sensible verdict.

---------

The Hutton enquiry was, I think, was a white wash.

I think Leveson opinion will be that of an independent minded professional lawyer.

I must admit I admire the doggedness of Leveson and Hay and their ability to allow some witnesses with a little help to hang themselves.

The "public" findings of the enquiry may lead to further necessary clean ups of politics.

============

At least may lead to the diminished power of Murdock and may even bring about Cameron's early departure from the political scene,

But interested in results of criminal proceedings over the coming months,

Shortie - 26 Apr 2012 13:03 - 16385 of 81564

That would be lovely to see Cameron go, can't stand the idiot. Mind you theres no one really to replace him with. Ed Milliband is just as bad if not worse, and Nick Clegg doesn't seam to be made of much when he does bother to contribute something. I can see why so many don't bother to vote when theres no one to vote for.

Fred1new - 26 Apr 2012 13:17 - 16386 of 81564

At the moment if you tried to form a coalition government of all the UK parties I think there would be a dearth of talents.

Doubt there is enough capable individuals to form a cabinet.

Mind you could import Alex from Scotland.

TANKER - 26 Apr 2012 13:19 - 16387 of 81564

leveson . is he URIAH HEEP come back to life

aldwickk - 26 Apr 2012 13:22 - 16388 of 81564
