"Slightly naive" is the understatement of the year. It was obvious they would need to buy replacement machines right from the start to anyone with the slightest bit of common sense. Instead they tried to blag it! This shows very bad management and direction. Just being told to get on with it without the resouorces is symptomatic of poor leadership. How were they going to sell any greenseal product until the macheines had been converted? The Asda conversions should have been completed months ago and greenseal being shipped to provide revenue from product. Talk about goin off half cocked, a new MD is needed, one with feet nearly touching the groound.

Bit of a sticky wicket me thinks! ASDA will most likely want at least an equivelant extension to the exclusivity period, having enabled/assisted SEO to prove their technology. Also with WM looking to go GS/Starpol, SEO would not wish to upset the apple cart by catering to the likes of Tesco in the short-term.

I'm sure the other Supermarkets must be watching and waiting, and also happy that ASDA has been the testing ground for them.

ONE "contract" conversion within the year is better than none. It also serves as a milestone, marking the point at which the technology has become commercially viable.

Views anyone.

What happened to the 80+ that were promised to go live as per some months ago. I'm sure I read that somewhere.

As for the Starpol and hundreds of thousands of tonnes then this is superb news (if it materialises). Interesting that the orders of tonnage will exceed even SEO's predictions (hence why they will have to outsource the manufacturing and sell the IP).

I believe that to have been "SEO speak", from the pre-close update:

"We are currently working with ASDA and four of its key suppliers to fulfil the
initial stage of the ASDA contract. Current potential placements are expected

Another supplier is presently indicating a requirement for another 30 machines"

All pretty much indeterminate waffly wording there as we've all come to realise.

The waffle started 12 months ago with such statements as 'the trials with asda are now complete and we are signing a 12 month exclusivity deal'(or something like that)

They just forgot to mention the minor problems such as the fact they wouldn't have anything working properly for another year!!!!!!!!

Ah well, whats a year or two (or three or four)!!!! I'm sure we'll get there eventually.

Well ther you go, This supermarket alone could order hundreds of thousands of tonnes of material, and we do not have the capacity, so we are talking to its suppliers about licensing them our technology.

Will Walmart provide funding, or will the suppliers pay for the 3m for their facility ?

Perseco are definately up for putting cash in, so that McD can have Starpol at least across the US in one hit, possibly Canada too, and plans for further afield to keep McD packaging the same globally.

Walmart "hundreds of thousands of tonnes of material", 200,000 tonnes is equal to 10 facilities, or 40m P.A to Stanelco, but it could be a lot more.

Perseco will be the same scenario.

Re is the buyer still scooping up the SETS sells ? Sorry been out since 1130ish, so could not get back to you till now. Yes they are AT buys, but as they were all triggered, as I watched L2 and taken to the same second, that's what made me sure they were a single purchaser ( via a multiple if that makes sense ), or an order fill for same.

That explains the 2 months extension to the ASDA exclusivity (posted by someone else after the AGM)

Also if that is the case, can we expect those 30 and 40 machine orders now ?

When I first read it it was a skim through so I started to take it seriously, very quickly reading it as it was intended. Now if it did materialise, Walmart would rule the world.

SEO have agreed to extend the exclusivity period for two months from the time of the first commercial conversion - this came from the AGM. So another 4 months of exclusivity, if the 8 week to first commercial conversion is realistic.

Assuming (hoping) there will then be a queue of potential customers wanting trials, aren't they going to need rather more than the three machines they have at present?

Before you blow early on the Starpack awards, it's going to be a tad delayed, LOL !

I just had a reply from Terry, he's out of the office, but got back to me from his blackberry with the following :-

"This year we put no products in for Starpack awards as the rules state that the products must be on the market during the previous 18 months, so we decided that next year they would be better placed and better known to the judges. The other reason is that as I am chairman of the judging committee it would be better for impartiality to wait until I retired from being senior judge as I have been for the past 5 years. This year was my last (I think)"

Hilarious. What do you think the function of a broker (particularly house broker) is? There are dozens of shares whose sp has fallen (or risen for that matter) contrary to the statements made by brokers. And some are more trustworthy than others, particularly on small caps - you only need to look at those who have been taken to court for insider dealing and manipulation.

And as for institutions? Their judgement is often that of fund managers who are useless.

Do us a favour PM1 and at least try to write in a different style than that ramping cut n paste king.
