loadsadosh - 20 Oct 2004 15:36 - 16425 of 23498

Hi Opto
I think I can feel a crush developing for Prisi, such a romantic soul. perhaps something for you to watch with interest, though I'm not sure what the Budha will say

daves dazzlers - 20 Oct 2004 15:55 - 16426 of 23498

Cilla opto loadsadosh, good afternoon all.Strange type of day market wise,i thought we mite all be strong for the next 2 weeks,,with the bush/kerry being played out to a finish.
Well tea it is then,,,do we do Q/A on here ?

little willie - 20 Oct 2004 15:57 - 16427 of 23498

Hils..
developed a ladder in my 'one piece' and you know what happened to the jumper your Ma knitted you when someone pulled 'that little loose bit of fluff'

I sold " the Scraper" foolishly [?] it now appears; perservered for eight years with them and took 41p remembering a little advice a certain Princess gave me a long time ago.

Now seems that its payback time and even at todays price I think there's a tremendous upside to be gained; however my main goals from investing have been met, mainly thanks to PRM which have financed not only our new house but also our lifestyle out here.

I'm not trying to build mountains, have had tons of fun plus ATL :-({{{{
so my portfolio has shrunk from about seventeen companies to just five with a
relatively small amount of spondies invested[ most still in PRM].

loadsa...'Cilla is another Hils..an upanatem lady with class; likes of you and me couldn't stand the pace.
Keep rubbing the Buddha

Priscilla - 20 Oct 2004 15:58 - 16428 of 23498

Yep, what's the Q?

oooh! Thank you, LW! Nicest thing that's been said about me for ages.

hilary - 20 Oct 2004 16:06 - 16429 of 23498

Those "little loose bit of fluff" days are behind me now, LW.

Shame you sold the Scraper. Every dog has it's day and all that. I think I said to you a few months back that I thought it'd be a quid by Xmas (or was it a fiver???) .... I might be proved right yet.

Never mind. I'll see if I can find a little special Xmas pressie for you and the Jessie.

:o)

daves dazzlers - 20 Oct 2004 16:09 - 16430 of 23498

cilla,is there by any chance ,something like a yellow pages, for email address,i dont think there is but you never know.

And my next one is,i am thinking of a purchase on the nasdaq {zindart},how easy before i tap the broker,,{certificate} wise not cfd,no doubt they charge well ?

hilary - 20 Oct 2004 16:15 - 16431 of 23498

Jeffie,

Just offloaded the last 1. Thanks.

:O)

daves dazzlers - 20 Oct 2004 16:16 - 16432 of 23498

Thought so i will tap him up then.

Priscilla - 20 Oct 2004 16:24 - 16433 of 23498

I've got some Nasdaq stuff bought through nominee account with traditional broker. Yep, they charge what they can get away with, so ring round and be prepared to negotiate. It works. But the costs are higher because of the higher custody charges etc. They may send you a load of extra paperwork to complete if you haven't bought 'foreign' shares before as well.

As for emails, if it's a company, it should be quite easy. Not sure about private emails though.

daves dazzlers - 20 Oct 2004 16:29 - 16434 of 23498

cheers cilla,i thought as much, first venture over the pond then, better start the swim .

little willie - 20 Oct 2004 17:02 - 16435 of 23498

Cilla..my pleasure I assure you; have a glass of something cold & sparkling.

dd..Re Nas..I bought through TD Waterhouse, no probs and don't think it was prohibitive, either the buy or sell.
For a newsy, progressive free site I used to use CNET Investor which I found to be a very good and useful; just realised that I may be digging a hole re am [do they do $?].
Anyway speak as I find, you ought to have a butchers at the JSE whilst venturing abroad.

stockbunny - 20 Oct 2004 17:03 - 16436 of 23498

Brief visit from me before I get the dinner - I had some stuff to sort
out so I haven't been around online.
The fridge is re-stocked by the looks of it - I assume Opto arranged
a shopping trip, thanks saves me a job - can't have been Socs
as there's more then trifle! LOL (only kidding Socs!)
See the girls have been keeping the bar nice and shiny - cheers!
Hopefully I will be about tomorrow - although if the portfolio puts in
another performance like today, it may not be fun!

jeffmack - 20 Oct 2004 17:21 - 16437 of 23498

Can you please post your mobile numbers. I have a quiz night tonight so I might need to text a friend.

Socrates - 20 Oct 2004 17:24 - 16438 of 23498

Hello, hello hello.

chocolat - 20 Oct 2004 17:33 - 16439 of 23498

Give us yours, jeffie, and we'll text you. :)

Socrates - 20 Oct 2004 17:48 - 16440 of 23498

It's getting a little cooler so I think liver and bacon followed by syrup pudding and custard will do just fine.

amberjane - 20 Oct 2004 18:13 - 16441 of 23498

Can I just have syrup please ohh and a pancake to go with it, cheers

Hi Chocs, just to let you know i got good news last night so had a drink or two later. Opto may be right about my timekeeping, went to a club and got back at 3.00am, couldnt sleep so was eating carrot cake at 4.oo!

chocolat - 20 Oct 2004 18:54 - 16442 of 23498

What did I tell you amberj?
Carrot cake, eh...just the ticket after a wobble.

amberjane - 20 Oct 2004 18:59 - 16443 of 23498

I know but I still worried, thanks though. Now more importantly was that a big wobble or a little wobble or even a treble wobble?
