SOLA is weak, not really at all because above article/scare, but because there is a lot of distressed selling and severe market uncertainty all round ...... with very few exceptions, all stocks are being hit hard ...... if US figures further upset, then this afternoon could be very unpleasant indeed.

certainly on SOLA i am, but along with the rest of the world, am taking a bashing on other holdings ....... greed tempts me to increase SOLA short again, but that could be tempting fate

ran a small FTSE short o'night, but closed it this morning when markets looked to be stabilising ...... relatively modest profit, but better that than the reverse ...... i actually suspect US figures will show the fear to be overdone with a subsequent sharp upward correction ...... figures may even presage a cut in US rates ..... anyway, Dow likley to be all over the place yet again.

Short looking very good now and helping to counter other woes. How quickly will we see 300p I wonder?

About 8% down on my portfolio as a whole 19 holdings.

Seems strange but still not convinced this is a bear market, looks to be too many stocks on low P/Es.

SOLA just dived through 340p.

Where next, this is exciting times.

if you are only down 8% overall, you have done very very well indeed when even bluechips are getting a pasting

Because I mostly follow boring stocks with a contrarian view.

After the DOW opens i reckon 330p could go and then its anybodys guess.

Whats the present TA analysis short term and medium term here PTH, cynic any of you TA guys.

Looks like a big drop all the way down to 240p but cant express that like you chaps.
