Oblomov,
You must have a screw loose if you say broker reccomendatios are 'hype', where do you think institutions get their info ???????????
Hilarious. What do you think the function of a broker (particularly house broker) is? There are dozens of shares whose sp has fallen (or risen for that matter) contrary to the statements made by brokers. And some are more trustworthy than others, particularly on small caps - you only need to look at those who have been taken to court for insider dealing and manipulation.
And as for institutions? Their judgement is often that of fund managers who are useless.
Do us a favour PM1 and at least try to write in a different style than that ramping cut n paste king.

Cue reams of cut n paste articles plus the words might, cusp, possibly, holding talks, continuing trials.

End of day I think everyone sitting on these shares knew they would be a long play. Whats another year, if all this does end up materialising think of the profit!!

I was expecting a long play, but this is like the Lord of the bloody Rings (or The Ice Man Cometh, for those older amongst you)! I expect to die one day (I'm only in my fifties) - I'm just hoping they can convert a few machines before that happens! lol

Pack Expo International is one of the biggest, if not the biggest exhibition in the World with several hundred exhibitors. I can't find any reference under exhibitors listed to Stanelco or any linked company. Looking at the site I initially found that unbelievable. Why wouldnt Stanelco be at one of the largest packaging showcases of the year?
I then considered a different scenario. Perhaps SEO know that it would be a waste of time, money and effort. What if there is such a queue of potential customers wanting trials say over the next 12 months, they know that there is no point in looking for extra customers. There is no point in attracting potential customers if you then have to turn them away in the short to medium term. Stanelco's biggest showcase ever will be if/when Walmart get on board. I wonder how many companies are now following Stanelco's progress, with Greenseal and Starpol.
We have already received plenty of hints (ok rumors perhaps) of other such companys interest, McDonalds for one example. When the exclusive tie-in period Seo/Asda is completed, there will be in my opin'ion a large queue forming at Seo's checkout for their products. Obviously all imho, and I welcome any other thoughts from fellow posters.

Possibly comes down to manpower, greekman. with SEO having to man so many fronts at present. When reading about SEO in talks and meetings with the like of WM, McD, etc I think we tend to forget what a tiny setup they are. Does anyone know the total number of employees?
Hopefully they are using their manpower to concentrate on the important areas rather then spread themselves to thinly. They cant be everywhere.

Oblomov,
Yes, that's what I was saying. They are as you say a small company. They are I hope being carefull that they don't overstretch themselves. If they get as big as their potential appears to be who knows.

Oblomov,
Here's a challenge for you, though I fully expect you to fail.
Don't mention PM1 in any post for a whole week

Garyble,
Thanks for clarifying that :)
With only 13 Management and 3 Sales they must be working their socks off getting round all these meetings with Walmart and its suppliers, Perseco and its suppliers, ASDA, and all the other prospective clients. No wonder they called in Graham Whitchurch to help, probably a few others from around the group too !

Thursday, 11 May 2006 08:43
Ok, we have seen same comments already, but yet another story re the Tesco push for environmentally friendly bio-gradeable bags. This release gives a timetable of from September. Don't remember if any date was mentioned in the previous releases.

Thanks Gary, Thanks JJS, for the staffing figures. I'm surprised its that many, but still shows how thinly spread they must be given the various fronts they are trying to develop. No time nor manpower for every packaging show.
JJS, I haven't failed anything, let alone dismally! The deal was I wouldn't mention PM1 if you didn't continue to impersonate him - takes two to make a deal!
