Today I have done 1 trade..taking 25 pips on a short Cable from 18394

I just cant see a clear direction where an 'obvoius' 40-50 pips can be taken out...While I can make a case for 'both ways' doing nought

i think .25% is about 85% certain, .5% =10%, no change = 5%

I caught up on the threads on another FX board over the weekend. Seems there are a few experienced players who aren't happy with the current price action and are staying out of the market waiting for a break till it sorts itself out.

Short below 280, long over 500 seems to be the concensus.

Well I'm experimenting with a change in strategy while we're in this sideways market. It'll probably involve more trades for fewer pips at a time but I've got a living to make and I need to move with the times.

Only time will tell how the strategy pans out, but I'm long from 7am.

You guys will need to watch the US calendar. Because of the market close for Reagan's funeral on Friday, PPI is rescheduled for Thursday. I don't know when Michigan and Trade Balance is rescheduled for yet.

Well if indeed we are range trading...this 18380-5 is a good place to reverse

18370 is the well supported uptrend line on the 1 hour
good since 3rd

added to my long on a tight stop...and now praying

However the bearish engulfing pattern on the 4 hourly
looking very worrying

Bit surprised that it failed to make a significant break higher this morning, but my new strategy said reverse at 18422 so I did. Who am I to argue with the system?

and highs becomes a "possibility" again

1.8430+ and I will be adding to my long

This could still be a prelude to the 'significant break higher'

We have been in this 18300 to 18470 range since the end of last month
a big 'test' of support and resistance not out of the question b4 it breaks it to the upside

8 hour chart...showing candle 'tails' commensurate with getting ready to push higher by the end of the week
