Hi JJ - I'm OK thanks, just chasing washing round the garden at
intervals LOL
How are you and yours?

Has the rain arrived over with you Amber? Oh dear...better go and try
and get the last of my washing in shortly then, cos with that wind out
there it would take long to traverse a couple of counties!!

amberjane - 21 Oct 2004 15:14 - 16529 of 23498

Rain? just a wee bit... and lightening as well-it's called timing i think!

Thanks Jennifer so kind, must have been the blue trouser suit though coz i really do need to
lose some weight, but then it was nearly 3 weeks ago you saw me, amazing how much
chocolate you can eat in 3 weeks!

daves dazzlers - 21 Oct 2004 15:15 - 16530 of 23498

Your right about that van helsing ,you would like that football factory { the old dark days}.

jeffmack - 21 Oct 2004 15:15 - 16531 of 23498

Thats what we like to see, the women of the cafe taking a great interest in domestic chores

daves dazzlers - 21 Oct 2004 15:38 - 16532 of 23498

good tv tonight channel 4 8.00 pm,beyond river cottage, early night for the tin lids then.

stockbunny - 21 Oct 2004 16:00 - 16533 of 23498

Yes good programme Dave - it must be close to winter, cos the TV schedule
has improved the last couple of weeks!

Oh joys of Christmas shopping!
Just had youngest son's main pressie
arrive via ArgosDirect and it was a bit of a shock LOL
He wanted a keyboard, OK I thought, I'll store it under the bed between
now and Xmas, order it early and its out of the way....

Well, best laid plans and all that, it just arrived and the box is
4 feet odd tall and about 18" deep - under the bed storage - not a
chance! It was interesting just getting it up the stairs! So it's
'installed' behind a long free standing mirror thing in the bedroom
with a sheet over it, looking less then inconspicuous LOL!!
One things for sure it will end up wrapped up in pages of the FT,
cos there is no way I'll have enough wrapping paper for it! :>)

daves dazzlers - 21 Oct 2004 16:07 - 16534 of 23498

Bought a few pressie`s of late,,nothing of that size ,in the loft they go.

stockbunny - 21 Oct 2004 16:10 - 16535 of 23498

Yes I would do the same, but there's no way I'd get up the ladder
with this thing - oh life was simpler when it revolved around buying
the latest set of Lego and Brio! LOL

Fundamentalist - 21 Oct 2004 16:11 - 16536 of 23498

little willie - 21 Oct 2004 16:21 - 16538 of 23498

All with a big white tick on DD.
Jessie...explain chav please, wasn't around when we left blighty and hasn't hit these shores....suspect I should add "thank God" but await news.

Didn't make Mrs LW's shopping trip as spent afternoon waiting for wood delivery.
Has to be a special type of wood for braii purposes; season just commencing and in another few weeks the right wood will be 'gold dust'.
Actually buy it by the piece, rate today was rand 280 per thousand pieces [23], I bought 1500 which will do my years braiing plus most of next winters fires.

Shopping trip only postponed until tommorrow, bugger!

Fundamentalist - 21 Oct 2004 16:22 - 16539 of 23498

DD

Was going to go to Haydock but had to go and see my solicitor on the house purchase.

We got kicked to pieces last night and Henry, Edu, Reyes and Pires all picked up knocks - just have to wait and see who is fit

optomistic - 21 Oct 2004 16:30 - 16540 of 23498

little willie, sure someone will explain 'chav' now what's braii please.

daves dazzlers - 21 Oct 2004 16:38 - 16541 of 23498

Never mind friday it is willie, make sure you have your comfy shoe`s on.
You will need them players back fit,,look`s like dj cisse ,,my be on his way out ,,he has had a splat with rafa,,oh well he will be playing at wrexham soon in the reserves.
Good day market wise for me.

This_is_me - 21 Oct 2004 16:41 - 16542 of 23498

I see fundy is at the excuses for Sunday's beating well in advance!

Another hike in AHT is small compensation for having to put up with an aunt of the wife's staying for a week along with my eldest being on crutches and having to be taken to school and collected every day, not to mention the bathroom being in a building site state.

I was told last week that Nike was yesterday's brand. The women in the tennis club have all moved to a new one (can't remember the name - I think it is Swiss)

Fundamentalist - 21 Oct 2004 16:43 - 16543 of 23498

Dream on T-I-M - i believe you have to score to win football games - there again even if we lose we'll still be 8 points ahead

hilary - 21 Oct 2004 16:45 - 16544 of 23498

Opto,

I can answer your question about the braii. It's a South African BBQ.

I'd still like to know what chav is though.

Finally bought my wellies today. Found a shop on the web that does them by the score and picked these ones.

stockbunny - 21 Oct 2004 16:47 - 16545 of 23498

Never mind T-I-M it can't last forever..and isn't half term soon for
your eldest? So hopefully you will get a week's rest from the school run.

Fundy - Have a cold Guinness - more important then footie!! :>)

Hils - well you wont get lost in the dark with those on LOL ;>)

Jules - 21 Oct 2004 16:47 - 16546 of 23498

Finally read this thread. It's great fun:-)
Now in answer to your question Hil as to what chavis...Boyse posted this earlier today on the traders thread
