This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Don't want to spoil the party guy's but there is nothing driving the price. It could just be speculators taking short term long positions untill they get to their target and then kick the sp right down again going short. Time your entry carefully. There are some big players still holding short positions.

Agreed Mickey ! Even though i am quite new to this game i can`t believe i didn`t bank the profit i had, but like you say got greedy and averaged up my sp and got shafted by Evil the markets and to a certain degree Mr Best.

Mickey, just recieved an e-mail from a buddy hes just seen my and your posts and says ask mickey to look again he says its Medical Solutions he has gone short on at 118p, also confirms hes out of Stanelco. Blimey hes been in and out of that one. Just goes to show how these traders use some stocks like toys.

GF He does say Medical Solutions but confirms the epic as MMG. I've just been to the other place and he has posted on the MMG thread the he sold 30,000 at 118 and 30,000 at 121. I will email Tom Winnifrith for clarification.
