All the girlies must be out buying their wellies. DD is probably flooded up in Wales.

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 10:45 - 16575 of 23498

DD had a 'late' night last night possibly slept in. The girlies well who knows what they are up to :-)

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 13:31 - 16578 of 23498

DD, Jeff. Do you sometimes get that feeling that you are all alone on your own and no one wants to know?
The answer to it is .....a large pot of tea!!

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 13:40 - 16579 of 23498

Oh almost forgot, a Danish pastry helps too:-)

jeffmack - 22 Oct 2004 13:44 - 16580 of 23498

yes, as alone as you can be in a 400 person office

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 13:50 - 16581 of 23498

Just 400 Jeff, hope they are not all 'girlies' if they were and they are as lively as our 'friends' you would have your hands full. And before anyone picks up on that I mean that you would have to be super alert to keep on top of them, Oh dear! I don't think I will add any more :-))

jeffmack - 22 Oct 2004 13:54 - 16582 of 23498

Opto
I work in IT, and girlies just dont do IT

jeffmack - 22 Oct 2004 13:55 - 16583 of 23498

Stormy
Just sent you a message

Priscilla - 22 Oct 2004 14:07 - 16584 of 23498

Oh, we do, Jeff. It's just that when we do IT, we don't tend to post the details on a BB.......!

Glass of Cab. Sauv. please, somebody!

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 14:09 - 16585 of 23498

Jeff, on the ball there LOL. And still no sign of our girlies :-(
I off to the DIY store now, more stuff needed. It's a lot easier buying a shed than refurbishing a kitchen!!

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 14:11 - 16586 of 23498

Priscilla...a Girlie :-) have you been 'lurking' long? I'll see to the Cab Sauv.

Priscilla - 22 Oct 2004 14:12 - 16587 of 23498

Oh, just the usual number of inches, opto......(Make it a large glass, please!)

optomistic - 22 Oct 2004 14:16 - 16588 of 23498

Keep a clear head for the afternoons trading P, if it's as exiting as this morning you will find it hard to keep awake. OK as you wish a large glass it is :-)

Priscilla - 22 Oct 2004 14:23 - 16589 of 23498

Not expecting to trade this afternoon, opto. Weather is 'moody', my portfolio is unexciting and I don't have to write an investment report for my fellow trustees of the major charitable portfolio until next week anyway! Cheers!!

little willie - 22 Oct 2004 14:39 - 16590 of 23498

Jessie jeffys well in danger od causing major upset with mrs lw re IT comments. Phew!
She's a no.1 expert in SAP and prob lose him all around the bank, very naughty thing to say worthy of jmack wrist.

As for our lovelies not doing IT; all I can say is, chance would be a fine thing with or without Cab Sauv [prefer Merlot or Shiraz/Syrah].

Anyway opto, give Cilla her usual number of inches but if you need a rest allow me the pleasure of standing in.

Done the traipsing around the shops this a.m., relatively painless; ended up at lunch time in Newlands Stadium where I treated her majesty to a lunch in the members room.
Watched half an hour of cricket and then a leisurly drive home.

Life's a sod!
