Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

MAM is getting so slow with constant requests for login again. The news on a particular stock takes for ever. Why is this?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Feb 2004 09:10 - 1660 of 7315

barnetpeter,

I will get the tech boys to take a look at this and see if we can get to the bottom of this - we did expewrience a slight problem this morning which may be the root cause of what you are seeing, with regard to login requests (this is due to the fact that we had to do some restarts to clear the problem) - can you close down your browsers and log back into MoneyAM - let me know what the response times are like then.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards

Ian

Spaceman-you are not alone in this-been happening for ages now-have pointed it out many times-just have to wait I suppose-that fix the other week seems to have caused more problems than it solved-not happy:(

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Feb 2004 09:29 - 1662 of 7315

Sonofagun,

Please accept my apologies for the problems you have been having - we are continuing to look into the problems from the end of last week and today and hope to have them resolved as soon as possible.

Regards

Ian

When using Mozilla Firefox the icons next to a stock in the streamer for News, Graphs etc. do nothing when clicked.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Feb 2004 13:02 - 1664 of 7315

Technet,

Jonathan from our technical team uses this browser - I will pass your message onto him and get back to you.

Cheers Ian.
Using Firefox 0.8 with Sun JRE 1.5 Beta (1.42 doesn't work either)

Spaceman - 17 Feb 2004 08:35 - 1667 of 7315

getting this slow page refresh on the traders traders room page again today. I am on a different PC with a different ISP in a different town !

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 Feb 2004 08:38 - 1668 of 7315

Spaceman - I have just tried a refresh on the traders room and it was very quick - I will keep an eye on this and let Jonathan know so that he may investigate to see whether there are any problems.

Ian

Spaceman,

Out of interest, does it load any quicker if you disable java?

I have a feeling that it may be slow loading due to the java applets that are in the header...

J.

Spaceman - 17 Feb 2004 09:30 - 1670 of 7315

J, not sure, what seems to happen is that it stalls as though its missed something, often if i stop then reload its virtually instant so I dont think its general lack fo resourse or anything like that. I will have a play leter but I am off out in a few mins.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 17 Feb 2004 09:56 - 1671 of 7315

Spaceman,

Is this the entire traders room, or just the traders thread on the traders room?

BrianTrayda - 17 Feb 2004 10:15 - 1672 of 7315

Just to add that I am getting 3 seconds from clicking on "Traders Room" to the logon screen and then after that about another 5 seconds to the thread list appearing.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 Feb 2004 10:16 - 1673 of 7315

Brian,

I will get Jonathan to take a look, but there are no problems at the moment.

Thanks

Ian

I don't know if this is the same issue as others are having, but for a couple of weeks or so (since it had its make-over?) I've found the traders' thread very slow to open. The first time I access it in the day it's really slow - perhaps almost a minute with fast broadband conn. After that it's just 'quite slow'.

I've not had any log-in probs, though.

BrianTrayda - 17 Feb 2004 10:37 - 1675 of 7315

IanT - I've just installed a new Windows Server 2003 which has all the security stuff switched on by default (for the first time ever) it is moaning about all kinds of things including running an ActiveX control on the Home page. Has AM done more Advertising changes to the pages or is one of the adverts having an adverse effect?

Dil - 17 Feb 2004 11:09 - 1676 of 7315

Non streaming pages are behind the times again - this is at least the third time in the last two weeks.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 Feb 2004 11:23 - 1677 of 7315

Dil,

I will get JT to take a look.

Many apologies for the inconvenience.
