Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

You mean - you got carpets - did not realise I was mixing with the upper classes on this board.
You are very welcome to stay the night as well if you like. Me the wife and the kids and gransdon will share the bedroom - if you dont mind sleeping in the scullery. But dont lay across the toilet door otherwise no one will be able to empty their potties in the morning.

Thats it then, all round to Bazas tonight.
Volunteers to organise the party essentials. I have made a list, so just let Baza know what you are taking along;
Sausage rolls
Twiglets
Marijuana
Several Thai hookers
14 kegs of Watneys Red Barrel (per person)
Dodgy pickled onions and cheese on cocktail sticks tastefully stuck into half a melon, decorated in tin foil
Very cheap wine that even an alcholic thinks is below them (Tesco specialise in it)
CD of Black Lace's Greatest Hits
Packet of post-it notes to label the bodies so the cabbie knows where to drop them
Mars bar in case Baza knows Marriane Faithfull
Think thats everything.
Not forgotten anything have I?

I had that once, Chocolat, but some cream from the doctors and a course of antibiotics and it cleared up in a fortnight.

No Knitting. Got all my clothes in one trip to C & A for their sales in 1974. You can't beat Bry-Nylon.

when we were kids we had wellies with "L" written on one and "R" written on the other, just so we knew which one was left and which one was right. i also had a jumper with "F" and "B" on it , so i knew which side was the front and which side was the back. a few years later i was helping my mum with the washing and i noticed that her knickers had "C&A" on them. i couldn't help thinking that a grown woman should know which way round her knickers go..........

Open question to you all.
The market has had a 3 month battering and I am certain that some stocks have had more of a battering than was deserved.
Ignoring YOO, SEO, BBC, PCM, CSB and BRY (cos I am in them now already), which stocks do we think have dropped much more than the rest of the market, for no apparent reason, and now look like a very cheap recovery play?

alan look at GED took a tonking over the last few days ,go to Goldfinger's thread, looks a good hold for the next year,i'm in...... NLR has been battered after stonking results, hit about 918p i think ,now 640p , my only problem is ,Gaming stocks are not lavour of the month, although this shouldn't have affected NLR so much,,however i'm not sure it hasn't got further to fall ,we will see, but i will be back in that when i think it's hit the low....
Oh and PS DYOR as i know sod all !!!!..

Will have a look at them jimmy, so thanks. Not intending this to be an advice forum, but I think it is always a good thing to look at someone elses ideas, as they may well be below your radar.
I'm a lousy researcher, and I have no idea about fundamental assets, or charting, or any other of the tools many on here use. What I am is a businessman, so I recognise good ideas, innovations, better ways to skin the same old cat and management who seem to have their head screwed on. All that is fairly difficult to research and I've survived on gut instinct for a good buy, but when I get it wrong, its usually spectacular!!!
Who knows. Using each others strengths we might all become better investors, or at least be able to share the costs of a mutual bankruptcy hearing!!

Alan--I like NLR though I'm red at the moment but if you like cheaper shares/more for your money check out MTT--ADA-- GMC--also I'm in PMK a new issue and I missed the initial rise, still think momentum will push this up and long term it should do well. DYOR as I'm drowning in red on all my holdings except GMC-this one will eventually pay off-Jimmy's well being depends on it!! cheers MP

True ,someone will always have a house left and we can all go and sleep on their floor !!
.I find my shares in a variety of ways ,and also trade shares i know well some weeks. On moneyam check Goldfingers threads ,he comes up with some really good tips ,usually before you hear about them elsewhere...
