Does anyone know what price RHPS recommended buying at and whether they operate a 20% stop loss system? If so, in practice Tom Bulford and his subscribers should now either be already sold out or about to at the next update.

greekman - 18 May 2006 09:33 - 16646 of 27111

dawall,

RHPS have recommended SEO twice now, and yes TB is a great believer in a stop loss. Due to this he recommended sell some time back. He then put SEO back onto a watch list, and a few months later after meetings with SEO management re-recommended it as a buy. At the time I suggested that having once been bitten, a reputation was at stake, and I was of the opinion that to tip as a buy for a second time Tom would have had to be very sure of where this share was heading. He has always ( as far as I am aware ) put a high risk to this share.
Unfortunately I can't remember what he last tipped it at, so can't help you there.
I also feel that yes a lot of RHPS subscribers are now out, as many that follow that tip sheet are looking for quick profits, and their patience soon runs out.
All IMHO of course.

oblomov - 18 May 2006 09:51 - 16647 of 27111

My records show TB certainly had these on BUY at 17p (possibly higher) last September. The Target has never been changed from 50p and they only moved to a precautionery hold 13th April when SP was around 12.5p. They came back to a BUY 27th. April when SP was 13.25p but moved to a hold 4th. May at 12.75p.

Doesn't appear to be a stop loss in place - they have not been a sell since 2004. For some time now they have been tipped for their long term potential, so those RHPS subscribers looking for a quick profit wouldn't be attracted, IMO.

soul traders - 18 May 2006 12:25 - 16652 of 27111

LMAO !! Bos, I have to say you are always good for a snappy comeback!

But I'm not holding, I'm waiting for this to go even lower, so I have to disappoint you and say I won't be in the queue . . . . :o)

robinhood - 18 May 2006 15:26 - 16653 of 27111

Agree chart looks like scheit , but that has been for a year now anyway. With SEO however 1 good RNS will send sp soaring. During AGM it was said "we're on the cupse" so although unhappy with progress sofar still happy to hold

G D Potts - 18 May 2006 16:30 - 16654 of 27111

A fantastic 8 % drop today!

driver - 18 May 2006 16:35 - 16655 of 27111

Not bad if your buying potts.

Al
You gone on your holls.

pinnacle - 18 May 2006 17:03 - 16656 of 27111

I am disturbed that the Directors of Stanelco are not buying at this level to give confidence - after all if they are not happy to buy, why should anyone else!

Any news will have to be good just to get back to 13p! - BIG DEAL.

I don't think they realise the importance of supporting the share price - unless of course they don't have any money!!!

G D Potts - 18 May 2006 17:09 - 16657 of 27111

But very bad if youre holding driver, like i am. and i would never sacrifice any more of my money to Seo.

explosive - 18 May 2006 17:10 - 16658 of 27111

Pinnacle - just about every share on the FTSE 100 has fallen this week. Do you expect directors in all these companies to start buying to show support against a falling sp? Of course not, theres no reason for them to, nothing to suggest that extraordinary business activities have occured that can be linked to the sp!

pinnacle - 18 May 2006 17:23 - 16659 of 27111

Explosive-Fair comment - but SEO are not a FTSE 100 company!

I am looking for only the directors of stanelco to buy - wouldn't you if you were so confident of the future of the business?

I do think something is wrong - after the positive statement at the AGM the price should have at least held it's own not collapsed.

hewittalan6 - 18 May 2006 17:30 - 16660 of 27111

No I'm here Driver. Hols start on 28th June. Mexico here we come!!
Not been on-line all day cos BT had problems at our exchange.
Not a good day to be out of contact from a dealing point of view, but I had already taken the decision to bite the bullet and sit tight.
Its cost me about 6% this week, but I had had a good run for a month or two before that so I am still up over 11% on a rolling year basis. Quite content at that, and I have a lousy track record at trying to time the market, so all in all, not too bothered. More bothered that I've had the shits all day, to be honest.
Chin up guys. A good stock is a good stock, regardless of market sentiment. A company is worth the same whether the market is running scared or not. If you bought your portfolio on fundamentals then there is nothing to worry about, its just a time thing. If you are speculating, as we all are on SEO, then so what. You should only be in for what you can afford to lose outright anyway.
Very content at this end and now I await those who are nursing huge losses to have a pop at me for suggesting that time heals all, and that speculative stocks are just that. Speculative.
Alan
