Hello Socs,

Both RDW and WBY were up this afternoon and then John Macarthy abandoned his bid for MCTY and all the builders get walked down after that. RDW did regain it's bid towards close so I'm not too stressed by it and will stay long for now.

Phewwwwwww. I'm pooped. I've played nearly 3 hours of tennis today and I need a long cool drink now!

jeffmack - 11 Jul 2003 19:18 - 1668 of 23498

Did you woop him?

This_is_me - 11 Jul 2003 19:27 - 1669 of 23498

Good job Me bailed out of MCTY for just over 50% a week or so ago - in Me ISA too! Might get in again if the price really tanks - its only down 12% so far.

Hilary, the next British No. 1 tennis player - 10,000th in the world!

Socrates - 14 Jul 2003 16:53 - 1678 of 23498

I had a fantastic day out of it. Antiques fair at Malvern, couldn't find a nodding dog so bought a nodding cat.

vasey - 14 Jul 2003 18:13 - 1679 of 23498

Socks - checked DYS yet? Bring on the bubbles!!

Socrates - 14 Jul 2003 20:18 - 1680 of 23498

Vasey
First thing I did on arriving home. Same with SVB to a lesser degree. Bubbles a poppin', just hold out your glass.

Hot Lips - 15 Jul 2003 11:32 - 1681 of 23498

could i have a nice glass of bubbles too please

Socrates - 15 Jul 2003 17:16 - 1682 of 23498

Hit Lips, not the Major Hoolighan? Plenty of bubbly here, have as much as you wish. I have to keep plenty in stock since Vasey will hit me with her sporran if I run out.

Is there anybody there? Knock once for yes, twice for no!

jeffmack - 15 Jul 2003 17:24 - 1683 of 23498

I'm here Socs, work that is

Socrates - 15 Jul 2003 18:14 - 1684 of 23498

Jeff
I bet you're only there because it's air conditioned. I had occasion to go into our server room today and it was gloriously cool. Computers have environmental control, people have to perspire.

jeffmack - 15 Jul 2003 20:29 - 1685 of 23498

Not very good air conditioning I'm afraid, but still cooler than outside.

Socrates - 16 Jul 2003 16:58 - 1686 of 23498

Evening all. Thunder rumbling around Cheltenham and rain to cool us a bit. Still very sticky though. If anyone is following SVB, nice rise today, let's hope it continues the trend.
