MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

Big Al - 02 Aug 2008 14:32 - 1673 of 8631

If you had an open mind, then people with opposing views might not get to the "point of obsession". You just don't want to hear them, full stop.

At some time in the future this might be a good company, but when AGMs become the shambolic event MDX's obviously descended into, it makes it all the harder for those running it to have the chance to do the right thing.

It's so ironic that those who wish to see it succeed are those standing in the way of that goal. Ridiculous!

Big Al - 02 Aug 2008 14:34 - 1674 of 8631

FYI, the share price of MDX is about 1/3rd of what it was when we started posting bearish comments 4 years ago.

People should have listened more closely then.

ptholden - 02 Aug 2008 16:34 - 1675 of 8631

Tabasco, what you're really talking about is the very essence of financial BBs. The allturistic view is that they are for sharing information and debating the opposite view opinion. What you actually get is 95% of 'investors' telling everyone what a great company so and so is and refusing to listen to the opposing view purely because they have fallen in love with the share and refuse to face the facts and then abusing any and everyone who dares to say something different. Dil's comment about people trading a breakout, watching it falling back and then calling it an investment for the next five years was so funny, simply because it is so true. I would suggest that 99% of posters on this BB have no idea about trading or investing and are far too lazy to do their own research. Most of these are the ones who shout '120p BY XMAS'!! So what is that statement based on? They haven't done any research, know nothing about Technical Analysis nor the fundamental approach, in other words they've fallen in love with the share but are unable to justify the statement if pushed. Is it any surprise that others who have a bearish stance say 10P BY XMAS! and dont bother to justify that either? Both Al and Dil have been doing this a lot longer than I and I wouldn't be surprised if in their early days they posted rationale arguments why a particular company is a pile of ramped up shite but then sat back and watched the abuse roll in. Personally I can't blame them for making a one line statement, but I've learnt to read between the lines when they and others do. Am I asking you to endorse their comments? Absolutely not, make your own mind up. Quite why you feel the need to 'protect' scotty is beyond me and I daresay you haven't done your BB reputation much good by aligning yourself with someone who posts drivel as 'die quickly' and such like. The only time people take you seriously on a financial website is if you post quality information or you can prove you get it right more often than you get it wrong. Copying and pasting from other sites doesn't cut the mustard.

Phew, sermon over, just my humble little opinion of course.

ptholden - 02 Aug 2008 16:41 - 1676 of 8631

Incidentally, I offered you a bit of information available in the public domain yesterday. 2008 H1 turnover v 2007 Proforma turnover (inclusive of acquisition). Why not go and crunch those numbers, ie, likley FY turnover / net profit using the information that is there. I would suggest the margins will be eroded, so don't get too extravagent. Once you've got a few figures, throw them into the EPS / PE calculator and see what sort of fair SP you come up with. (I wonder if that prompted Al's 'in the future this might be a good company' comment?) You just have to read between the lines ;)

Big Al - 02 Aug 2008 17:06 - 1677 of 8631

Indeed, pth. That's actually an excellent objective view of this thread, and of BBs in general.

As I stated earlier, my scepticism of MDX is based on about 5 years of following it and it singularly failing to deliver despite having what seems to be a number of niche products it really should have done much better with. It's been a wasted opportunity.

Admittedly, this is probably what so frustrates its shareholders, but don't take it out on those who see it for what it is as opposed to what it might/should be.

The spoiling of all BPRG/MDX threads I've been on is generally by those who are the bulls of the stock adamantly refusing to see the cons of owning, not those who point them out.

As for Scottie, I'm astonished his blatantly racist comments have not been dealt with by the moderators. Some of them have been an absolute disgrace and as far removed from the main content of any financial BB thread as I've ever read.

Dil - 03 Aug 2008 09:15 - 1678 of 8631

tabby , who are you accusing me of "bullying" on this thread exactly ?

Secondly , I left ADVFN of my own free will a long time ago because around 80% of the "regulars" who started on esi together many moons ago were on here not advfn.

As for scotty ... he talks more sh*te than even I could manage.

Dil - 03 Aug 2008 09:15 - 1679 of 8631

50p by Tuesday , lol.

tabasco - 03 Aug 2008 09:25 - 1680 of 8631

Just got up feel like crapbut must answer PT.
PT. First of all let me congratulate you for getting big al to write something other than his usual trashing of mdx.when you talk about altruistic viewsI would say in Dil and Al you have chosen the worst possible examples on Money am.. I understand what you are saying in respect of 95% are trying to be cheerleadersnothing wrong in thatposting an observational sudden sp rise.great for moraland nothing wrong in that..Then comes along one of the two.and bangshit 5p companywhy!.. Fundamentals logic and the SP have very little in common at the momentso why!

Your claim that 99% have no idea about trading or investing and are far too lazy to do their own researchis imho quite insulting to a lot of mdx investors who know their stuffPersonally I have always called myself thick and lucky but not lazy..I first saw the bprg ceo on Bloomberg giving an interview shortly after listing.I was so impressed I parted with 25k that day on a gut feeling at a price I think around 26pwithin a short period of time I hade doubled my holding@34p .now this is from one of those 99% that have no idea..I think it was about Feb. 04 I sold 80% in two lots for about 1.33 and 1.41.I could be a 1p out either way.Now the point I am making is we havent all got to be brain surgeons to be successfulI dont really know Dil or Al backgrounds.but they may well be far less successful than a lot of your 99%ers.
Even now with the continued taunts my holding is considerably more than my first and I am averaged down to 43p to break even.not bad in this climate.and a position that your 1% would probably swap for!
Now we come on to Scotty.I defend him because he is continually bullied by the two abovehe is tauntedmockedand wound up until he explodes or imploads into saying something outrageous that one of you will pick up ongoaded I believe? He is passionate about Britain and sad about the demise.I would bet odds on his education is far superior to Dil or Als and also beats them on integrity. He is not racist! People need to realise the meaning of the word.As far as my BB reputation going down just because I align with him..Do I sound like the kind of guy that would sell his soul to the devil..and thats for others to decide anyway. Thats my Sermon on the Mount over PT!

nkirkup - 03 Aug 2008 09:28 - 1681 of 8631

Dil - 03 Aug 2008 09:43 - 1682 of 8631

Here we go tabby have a read of this and anyone else who feels these may be the next Glaxo. Funny but there only seems to be a few of the original posters left here , think most of the bulls must change their names every so often to avoid looking stupid.

The Bioprogress Original Thread

Might even learn something , most people would but I guess unlike me who learns by the day you already know it all.

Big Al - 24 Aug 2004 08:58 - 847 of 2372

Dil - 24 Aug 2004 09:04 - 848 of 2372

Big Al - 24 Aug 2004 09:08 - 849 of 2372
He might need to lend me a few bob to buy my bucket. LOL!

Dil - 03 Aug 2008 12:48 - 1692 of 8631

Well pub time now I'll read the rest of that thread later but so far Al has been probably the most informative poster on that thread and explained most of his actions and thoughts to anyone who asked.

I was just me :-)
