Well I'm back - that little flurry didn't last long!
All this stuff about protection - just realised I haven't updated spywareblaster in a while - oops - should I have it set on auto-update?

Well if that don't beat all!!
I have just been disturbed by two "Trick or Treaters" a small girl and boy
I'll pass the fact that they are on the wrong continent !
I'll pass the fact that they are over a week early !
But I find it F**KING UNBELIEVABLE that parents should allow there offspring to go out in the pissing rain, after dark, visiting strangers houses in an area replete with woodlands, where attacks on girls are not uncommon.
ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL!

I just can't imagine myself spending that amount of dosh on a clock. I just pointed it out because someone in the cafe collects them, can't remember who, senior moment I'm afraid.

Did I hear Stormy say something about brandy under a chair? Aaah I see it pass me a glass please, been one of those hectic days that would qualify for brandy. That's if there is enough for me as well as Choccie.

Brandy, cheers - I'll just pop some fizz into that.
I was zapping the machine earlier - ended up not being able to re-connect, which was a puzzle - had probs last week too, after 2 hours on the phone, tech support finally realised it was an MSO issue, which was nice.

I'd send you Mr Grumpy's, T_I_M...only he's not quick.
Plenty of fizz here, Stormie - and you're on a loser with your slippers, Space - what were you thinking of doing with them anyway?

Socs/Jeffers..yup,antique timepiece collector was/is me.
Actually auctioned most of mine before emigrating, kept best of bunch.
As you say Socs it prob is daft that sort of value being in a clock but if you look at the workmanship, age, tools availability of the age, precision it makes you wonder whether we're really going forward.
Then you read the comments here about cd's, dvd's, pc's etc being worthless before they're out of the box.
I don't want my two 'herberts' to inherit that sort of crap but my 1842 french carriage repeater with porcelain face, early alarm will last forever and always retain an increasing value, at the same time giveing great pleasure.
Maybe they are worth the monet!
