MEDICAL MARKETING, A Speculative Punt That Might Reap Rich Rewards (MMG)

goldfinger - 01 Sep 2004 15:33

This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Please DYOR

cheers GF.

Its nice to see it ticking up slowly again ,fingers crossed for all of us currently holding this at a loss that we will be rewarded and Evil will leave us and this company alone and move on to his next victim.

mickeyskint Hi,

I am watching these closely, many of our staff have large holdings in MMG.

As for SEO, check the SEO board, where I posted my E-Mail to EK on tuesday night, via UK-Analyst.com, where I am a subscriber, they post his diaries a week later than t1ps.com, and they replied saying that they had forwarded my message.

The day he announced he was short on SEO for the second time, I sent him the EVO notes, KBC notes, Hardman & CO notes, RHPS buy note, Trendwatch buy note, and lemmininvestor notes !!!!

The next day he closed his short, mentioning the EVO notes I had sent him !!!!

The first time he was short on SEO, I had done the same, and he closed that one the day after too, and according to 'market rumour', he lost 400k that time, so I wonder what he lost this time !!!!

Oneupmanship for the P.I :)

Cheers,
PM

I must admit Paul if I did short, which I don't, I definitely would not short on SEO. The bulls have that one. I do however think that on fundamentals it's over priced just like MMG. But factor in the potential and wow, it's stuff dreams are made of. When EK looses it's big time and like wise when he wins. The man is very wealthy and very astute. Wether you like his tactics or not he makes some good calls. I just wish it wasn't on the stocks I'm holding. Still he is long on GMC so there is some hope.

A great start to the week and hopefully more to come..

mickeyskint - 31 May 2005 09:59 - 1684 of 2444

But what's driving the price. Will it get to say 180 and be jumped all over by the shorters. I think this is speculation. But yes it is nice to see. Now if we got some news to support the rise that would be great. But if not it will go back down again.

Not expecting news this week mickey due to the holiday season etc and it must be just speculation of some sort but 180p is looking good by Friday.

mitzy - 02 Jun 2005 13:03 - 1686 of 2444

Famous last words as we seem to be down 8p today...

paulmasterson1 - 02 Jun 2005 13:20 - 1687 of 2444

Hi All,

I only said to one of our staff 2 weeks ago, that the price would bounce off 1, if it dropped through to 90p sell, and buy back at 70p, but it bounced alright :)

I also told her to watch on the way up, for resistance around 130, 150 and 170, and its just bounced below 150, so close enough for me, but watch out for recovery, and if it gets through 150, it's 170 next stop.

Cheers,

Hi All,

Off topic, I have been watching the RNS today, and this one stands out as a very good one.

Well there's a surprise. Back down to 109? It's the speculators CFD/Spread betters selling out and reversing their positions and now going short. No news to support the price and down she'll go. Don't worry though when news does come it will go back up big time. Keep the faith.

Its like we have predicted Mickey.

cheers GF. PS, Crosby Capital is another they have got hold of now. Theres no real incentive for real investors in times like this. Just got to stick to the boring low beta stocks. Seems there is a piece in Shares Mag today on this issue over gambling on CFDS and margin.

mickeyskint - 02 Jun 2005 13:56 - 1691 of 2444

I agree GF it does get you down. Something really should be done about it.

MS PS Take a look at MSLH. Good results coming and possible bid.

goldfinger - 02 Jun 2005 14:19 - 1692 of 2444

Got some Mickey, there a local firm for me and I do a Lot of Business with them.

cheers GF.

goldfinger - 02 Jun 2005 14:30 - 1693 of 2444

This is worth a look Mickey. Pity we dont get more companies demanding this.

From the other place. Make of it what you will. Could be rubbish but on the other hand!

This looks like another one being traded up and down,i have been waiting to get back in , but without any news, this seems to be the pattern..

goldfinger - 03 Jun 2005 10:43 - 1696 of 2444

Spot on Jimmy. Another toy for the CFD gambling brigade.

cheers GF.

seawallwalker - 03 Jun 2005 22:54 - 1697 of 2444

This has fallen over the side of a cliff by the looks.

Without real news it will see the 200day ma again and test the suppport.

All imo, and I hope it reverses and proves me wrong.

mickeyskint - 04 Jun 2005 11:53 - 1698 of 2444

It's in the hands of the speculators, being kicked all over the place. But it only needs one piece of good news and it will rocket. Remember it's a high beta stock.
