I'm afraid to say that I've sold up.

explosive - 22 May 2006 15:55 - 16793 of 27111

When you look at todays trades there more buys than sells yet the sp still falls, clearly indicating a overhang.

bosley - 22 May 2006 16:01 - 16794 of 27111

maybe it's that ex employee getting rid of his. he has certainly collected enough of the buggers over the last few years !!!!

explosive - 22 May 2006 16:12 - 16795 of 27111

Either that or PM1 has decided to call it a day and move on!!

Sharesure - 22 May 2006 16:17 - 16796 of 27111

PM1 was still around as of last evening as I came back to his usual mound of SEO emails. You have to admire his tenacity, if not his grasp of what is relevant info. Guess it is too much to hope that this mgt. can seal an order in the next few days?

The key question to ask re management is how they would be assessed if it were not to the backdrop of investment comment. Greenseal is clearly a major technological advance so that a one year hiatus in the product launch cycle would not normally be seen as a major problem. OK, I suspect they believed their own hype, but they have taken a product proven in the laboratory onto the factory floor, adding the problems associated with retro-fitting and 24/7 processing and you are in a different world from that they have previously occupied. The continued confidence of ASDA, prepared to demonstrate to their masters, suggests that the major problem has been timescale. The Starpol story is more positive with FSA approval for Starpol 2000 and Starpol 3000 clearly well received and approaching approval. The share price is one thing, the growing value of the company and its products another

One conclusion is that the value of the company to a buyer has been going up as products come closer to market, not down. While the sp has fallen with a resultant drop in market cap. from 300m to 85m, the intrinsic value of the company will have been rising (probably for half the former to a multiple of the latter). If there are multiple bidders then the current market cap. is irrelevant.

Another worry has been the possibility of a cash call. But you can be quite sure that any cash call would follow good news: e.g. Walmart sign up trials with a predicted cash flow underwritten by their commitment. SEO are not going to come to the market with the sp in the present region.

Again, strangely, the short term future of the sp has nothing to do with any perceived value of the company. The only important question is whether there are more sellers shaken out plus shorters than there are bulls buying in. So my own review at the weekend, when I decided to hold, was driven by the key question as to whether management would deliver. andy was the nearest to shaking me out when he expressed concern re the gas barrier properties of Starpol. The April 26th release stated that the final technical hurdles in the development of STARPOL 3000 have been overcome and that the product exhibits high gas barrier properties, key to shelf life considerations. The cynic (with apologies to his namesake) will make various pessimistic comments such as 'heard it all before'. I'm not interested in comments which are not factually based - andy has since softened his position. We have a company in a unique position in a major market with a strong hand of cards - enough said!

Driver - I have 3 in profit but am red in all against the day... Can't imagine the FTSE falling below 5500 so I reckon were nearly at the end of this fall. Eight days now and abit of a record for this down trend.

Did you have to mention the FTSE it was 800 once.

explosive - 22 May 2006 16:44 - 16801 of 27111

When was the last time it was 800 though?

oblomov - 22 May 2006 17:01 - 16802 of 27111

I think I'd best cancel my order for the new Bentley! Do they still make Citroen 2 cv's?

blackdown - 22 May 2006 17:10 - 16803 of 27111

Oblomov - yes, but they are now called Vespas. Same top speed and degree of comfort though.

cynic - 22 May 2006 17:16 - 16804 of 27111

explosive - as mentioned elsewhere, there ought to be strong technical support for FTSE at about 5460

GOTYA - 22 May 2006 17:32 - 16805 of 27111

Not predicting where the sp will turn. The issue is a proven greenseal commercial proposition, not on paper, but in the real world factory.

IF GS had such a compelling and obvious commercial benefit to all those partners involved in the trials, who saw, watched, touched and felt etc then orders would follow. They haven't, so draw your own conclusions

The reality is that this was never about R and D, this was about process re-engineering, an invest to save proposition. SEO may be excellent at R and D, they have been unprofessional in managing what from the outset was always going to be a very challenging task, to convert an industry process and commercial structure (licencing payments) with very tight margins.

The price is returning to pre greenseal days, the jury for greenseal is out.

SEO need to sort all the operational GS issues, get independant data collection and analysis from production speed/volumes in the line(s) in place, get more commercial and real, like having an early adopter benefit scheme and then, maybe then, the orders will flow in and build until everyone hears, sees and wants. No body wants and why would they?

bosley - 22 May 2006 17:45 - 16806 of 27111

now it's getting interesting .......

oblomov - 22 May 2006 18:38 - 16807 of 27111

I like 'interesting' - I'm not so sure I like what this is getting!

oblomov - 22 May 2006 18:40 - 16808 of 27111

P.S.

Cancelled the Bentley and ordered one of these!

greekman - 22 May 2006 18:43 - 16809 of 27111

There can be no orders re GS apart from ASDA until the exclusive period is at an end. If there are hints that orders are in the pipeline for when the exclusive period ends there would be the usual cries of RNS's being put out without substance as happened not so long ago.

GOTYA - 22 May 2006 19:25 - 16810 of 27111

There are no GS orders Greekman, no machines ordered or in the pipeline or working on the lines. Why?

Because the commercials are yet to be seen, verified or they do not stack.

driver - 22 May 2006 19:30 - 16811 of 27111

In the 60's I think.
