Easynet (ESY)

proptrade - 22 Jan 2004 11:27

i was wondering if anyone out there had any strong views? this company appears to be delivering and has just turned EBITA positive after a great trading statement last week. seems like upside to +200p once results are out.

any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

Prop,

I do believe that our patience is about to be rewarded.....handsomely. The commercial significance of the RNS is still being digested but the ability to compete head on with a superior product offering at a lower cost AND huge immediate distribution already in place is clearly going to see much inteterst from the institutions and I say again, the telecoms sector is ready to waken up again - a lot of potential M&A will also spark renewed interest. We've both seen false dawns before but this time I think the sun is about to satrt shining very brightly

Joe,
that was almost poetic!
totally agree, lets just wait for the AOL contracts to roll in. trading statement in Jan should add colour as well.

daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 12:28 - 174 of 602

Prop what price you in at.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 15:05 - 175 of 602

about here. i was in at 120 earlier this year, tipped out at 150 and averaged down from 110 to the mid 70's. i have been following this like a hawk and the way this company is misunderstood by the market is astounding (i spoke to the house broker who agrees).

this news about wholesale is NEW. i was into the company before but now all we need is one or two contract wins in jan and these propel skyward. sell bt.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 15:30 - 176 of 602

serious guys...a quid by crimbo. first time i have written that and really meant it!

Chrispine - 20 Dec 2004 15:43 - 177 of 602

Seems like you are right Prop..I have had to wait a bit before releasing some of my holdings elsewhere... PET did me in but I'm hoping to be in to ESY tomorrow. Thanks for the positive postings.

Chris

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 15:52 - 178 of 602

anytime sir. there is some real momentum in this name which should continue through the jan trading statement as well (forgot to mention that).

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 15:55 - 179 of 602

ok, quid by today!

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 15:58 - 180 of 602

trading at 100p

Chrispine - 20 Dec 2004 16:15 - 181 of 602

I'm going to have to wait & see if the price dips tomorrow.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 16:24 - 182 of 602

i have to say that ordinarily i would agree with you but these are clearly in play and the momentum may carry it further if there is news or if another provider is sniffing around. i do understand waiting though, it is a hell of a rise today!

capa - 20 Dec 2004 16:29 - 183 of 602

My buy at 78p looking good all of a sudden ! Not worth worrying about getting in a few pennies lower imo, look long term, in a years time a few pence will mean nought.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 16:31 - 184 of 602

exactly. there is definately something happening and has all precipitated from the wholesale product they announced last week. this staock has seriously been rerated.

Chrispine - 20 Dec 2004 16:37 - 185 of 602

What a strong finish today.. first thing tomorrow & I'm in. I should really warn you that it appears that I have the kiss of death.. so far I have been responsible for the fall of HNR, BFC, PET, AFE & CDN.. haha.. sorry if I do the same with ESY.. understand if you want me to stay well away & let you guys have a 'Blue Sky' Christmas.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 16:41 - 186 of 602

Chris, we trade on fundamentals here and from the bulk of your holdings it is unlikely that ESY will find a dry well!

seawallwalker - 21 Dec 2004 08:12 - 187 of 602

Looks like an early kiss of death this morning!

That, or profit taking!
