Wasn't the weather atrocious yesterday evening. It must've been a miserable journey back home for all those gooners.

:o)

I see Wenger's whingeing about it. No surprise there.

Fundy

You may have overlooked Rooney's contribution!

Chelski supporters are nearly as happy with the result as Utd. supporters.

hilary - 25 Oct 2004 09:01 - 16814 of 23498

Fundy,

As a Chelsea fan, I wanted either a Man U win or a draw.

I didn't think Riley had a good game ...... he let too much go early on and then found it difficult to exert authority. That aside, I think Man U wanted it and deserved it more. I've got to say that there were four of us dancing around the lounge when Wayne Wooney sealed it on 90 minutes. We were just so chav.

:o)

hilary - 25 Oct 2004 09:02 - 16815 of 23498

Timbo,

Chelski fans would've been happier if it had been our team which ended the run in a few weeks time.

:o)

Off to do some deals now,i have some leisure footwear to move on be lucky .

Fundamentalist - 25 Oct 2004 09:12 - 16819 of 23498

TIM

assuming you mean diving to con the referee for rooneys performance - the second goal only came about as arsenal were playing 2 at the back by then

from an england viewpoint it was great to see 3 england defenders get the better of european strikers (ferdinand was excellent if lucky to be on the pitch)

still 8 points in front though

hilary - 25 Oct 2004 09:16 - 16820 of 23498

Fundy,

It's not Man U that you need to worry about. Jose's out to get you. Only 2 points in it now.

:o)

If chelsea had the front four at united i would be very worried, but to me chelsea dont have the firepower, you can only win so many games 1-0 (i know you got 4 this weekend but against a shambles of a defence)

united have the experience and it would have been nice to put them out of it in october (plus i am taking it in the neck from a lot of man u fans)

jeffmack - 25 Oct 2004 09:27 - 16823 of 23498

Bolton for the Premiership

hilary - 25 Oct 2004 09:29 - 16824 of 23498

Fundy,

The blues fans were singing "We only win 1-0" and "Boring, boring Chelsea" on Saturday. Wonder where they got that from?

:o)

This_is_me - 25 Oct 2004 09:53 - 16825 of 23498

It is Everton that are the surprise team this year - they were rubbish last year and haven't had any signings and lost Rooney since. The 'pool supporters must be feeling as sick this season as the Goons are this morning.

jeffmack - 25 Oct 2004 10:09 - 16826 of 23498

TIM
Everton made the signing of the season.... Tim Cahill

Jules - 25 Oct 2004 10:27 - 16827 of 23498

I sadly have 3 male everton supporters in my house....they reckon the best move everton made this year was to get rid of Rooney and his 'chav' girlfriend:-)

hilary - 25 Oct 2004 11:09 - 16828 of 23498

My little girl has got Tim Cahill in her Torygraph fantasy team. I don't think that Everton will be there come May, though. I think that Boro will be the team to watch this season.

daves dazzlers - 25 Oct 2004 12:43 - 16829 of 23498

Everton, are on a run of form , but they are playing above there station , moyes his words not mine . Its not even christmas yet and it seems silly season is here.
Arsenal will win it we all no that , the other london team,,the shandy boys,,aka chelsea, may go close, and than the to pub teams ,,the free flowing pool, and the manc chavs, will make up the numbers, the pale allers may get fifth ,just my view !!!!

This_is_me - 25 Oct 2004 13:21 - 16830 of 23498

Tim (who?) doesn't explain the amazing turnaround in Evertonian fortunes this year after flirting with the drop zone last season. If I were Moyes I would be knocking on the chairman's door looking for a new contract while this form lasts.
