IRVINE, CA and THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 25, 2005 -- Stream Theory, Inc., a division of Tadpole Technology plc (London:TAD.L - News), together with its Dutch channel partner StreamTech B.V., has licensed the patented StreamFlow(TM) games-on-demand platform to cable giant Essent Kabelcom for the purpose of delivering PC games to their @Home network subscribers throughout the Netherlands. Initially subscribers will enjoy free trials of the on-demand games service, which will become commercially available early next year. A variety of genres and popular games, such as Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness by Eidos Interactive and Colin McRae Rally 2004 by Codemasters, will be offered, with additional titles to be constantly added.
The StreamFlow platform takes over where CD's and downloads fall short. Gamers want the latest hits and popular favorites quickly and without the hassle of searching in stores for CD's or waiting for long downloads to complete, ultimately installing them on their PC's. Game publishers want to both extend their game distribution reach and fight CD piracy. Streaming, with shorter downloads and no installation, supports these goals.

"The on-demand games market is growing very rapidly throughout the Netherlands and Europe. Streaming is the only technology that can be assured to keep up with consumer demand," said Jimmy van der Have, President of StreamTech. "The StreamFlow platform is the industry standard for providing the best customer gameplay experience, security for game developers and publishers, and ease of use for broadband Internet service providers. We are honored to be a partner with Essent Kabelcom to bring this entertaining and interactive experience to @Home subscribers."

Good news but how much money does Tad get?

superrod - 25 Jul 2005 23:19 - 1685 of 2262

one of these days tad will come good. i just hope its in my lifetime.

i have a bad feeling as a very long term tad fan ( and i must be one of a few that has made a profit over the years ).

there are so many burnt fingers out there that even a " tad takes over microsoft" will be received with a lukewarm response

ched444 - 26 Jul 2005 09:52 - 1686 of 2262

some interesting posts over the last few days while i've been away. nice to see some reasoned discussion along with some decent news.

snappy - 26 Jul 2005 13:20 - 1687 of 2262

could this deal be worth as much as the microsoft streaming deal for $100K ?

pachandl - 26 Jul 2005 15:47 - 1688 of 2262

Snappy - I am in denial about Tad at present (see post 1680) and have therefore added a further 5 noughts to your suggested profit figure. I feel so liberated at present - I wonder whether my new medication is in some way contributing to my feelings of euphoria about Tad?

Rumours of a bid coming my way!!!!
Anyone else heard this, I stress its only a very unsubstatiated rumour.

ML - in the politest way possible, please go away. Unsubstantiated rumours are the bane of this and many other BBs. Anyone can start a rumour but with Tad it soon becomes "fact" as the remaining Tadders cling to any faint hope. I was enjoying my period of denial over Tad but your message shook me out of my euphoria - you now owe me a pint.

Snappy - I am very chilled (obviously my message gave a different impression although I did use the word "polite").

ML - Cardiff is actually not far away from where I live but I fly to Sweden this Friday (and then onwards to Finland & Russia) so must reluctantly decline your kind invitation this time.

superrod - 03 Aug 2005 19:20 - 1695 of 2262

rumour or not, the share does not appear to be responding to normal market forces.

Surprised no-one has commented on the slowly ascending sp. Clearly Tad can make you very rich. For example, if you had bought 40,000,000 shares on July 1st you could now offload them for a 1m profit. What more can you ask. Surely this is why the true Tad faithful say that this share could make you a millionaire (although you need to be one already to capitalize - an interesting conundrum).

Just thought that I should share this interesting fact with everybody - if there IS anybody out there?!
