CMS Webview What is the potential for this share ? (CWV)

GEOFFREY.R - 01 Nov 2003 16:46

I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

ptholden - 20 Aug 2004 21:31 - 1684 of 1924

Quite a significant rise on what was very small volume today?

CMS is very much back in play. The ground work has been laid and it should now be obvious that sales will be coming.

If TDI becomes industry standard, as the language suggests is possible, then this current share price may provide an exciting opportunity to get on board.

This stock is quite simply undervalued. Currently 7pence gives us a market cap of 5.6million. A rising share price back to the fundraising level of 10pence is my target over the coming quarter, although as other watchers of this stock will now know, it is rising well on good news.

That momentum could pick up quite considerably now.

For you guys : press mention in today's Guardian Newspaper.

CMS Webview lurched 0.75p higher to 7p after the provider of software systems for real-time financial data distribution and management announced its deal with the Chicago Board of Trade has been extended.

The company's broker, Corporate Synergy, explained that the fee CMS will receive for the extension is modest compared with that for the full contract, but the deal shows increased interest in the technology, so "the pipeline of interest in the product is actually running ahead of our original estimates".

thanks sue,

for keeping your eye on this and continuing to post useful info and press.

xmortal - 23 Aug 2004 09:52 - 1688 of 1924

Thanks Sue.

Looking at the MM, at present they are ALL on the 7.00 Bid and 8.50 Offer. I guess that would make it Level 2 all at 4.

Sue could you perhaps guess whats happening here. Something is cooking here as ALL MMs have been on the same b/o for almost 3 days on a row.

Any ideas anywone.

bloodhound - 23 Aug 2004 10:43 - 1689 of 1924

xmortal

The MM,s have not got any stock, KBC might have few they was on their own with
the bid for a couple of weeks and it looked like they got about 0.5m.

This is quite healthy as the MM,s do not want to go short any buying will push
the share up.

xmortal - 23 Aug 2004 10:54 - 1690 of 1924

Level 2 now at 3 V 1. Wins push the bid to 7.50 and the offer to 9.00.

xmortal - 23 Aug 2004 11:51 - 1691 of 1924

Hope everyone was topping up before the price direction changed? Don't worry if you didn't, there is a lot more upside to come. The price of this share has suffered badly, it is time that it corrects itself to reflect the true potential it offers.

Whilst this has been a real test of nerve, particularly over the last couple of months, the whole economic outlook for the IT industry has improved somewhat. Companies are starting to spend on bigger ticket items which includes the sort of infrastructure components supplied by CMS. That bodes well.

From what I recall CMS tend to make a series of announcements, wouldn't be surprised if there is a follow up this week related to TDi and/or ProphetX.

Goodluck.

P.S> Should mention here that I have been slowly increasing my holding since end of May which stood at 500k to take advantage of the savage discounting on this share (see note of 28th May). Holding now stands at 750k.

CBOT expands electronic trading platform

Press release
17 August 2004 - The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT ) announced today it will host on its electronic trading platform the agricultural futures and options products of the Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGE), providing a single operating system for the largest agricultural commodity exchanges in the United States.

In addition, the agreement designates the CBOT as the two exchanges' sole direct distributor of market data through the CBOT Quote Vendor Network.

The CBOT also has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) stating that WCE contracts will be traded on the CBOT's electronic trading platform. The final agreement is expected to be signed in the near future.

CBOT President and CEO Bernard Dan said, "The CBOT has formed strategic relationships with the KCBT and MGE, two of the world's leading futures exchanges, to drive standardization in electronic trading of agricultural futures and options. The landmark agreements with these institutions provide greater efficiency, reduced costs and expanded access for our market users, while creating a shared network for a suite of products that compliment the CBOT's core agricultural complex. Further, the CBOT will be the direct distributor of data for the KCBT and MGE, an arrangement that is unprecedented in the futures industry."

Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2004, the CBOT will host futures and options products from the KCBT and MGE on its premier electronic trading platform, powered by LIFFE CONNECT. The CBOT's electronic trading platform has helped to facilitate the exchange's extensive volume growth since the system was fully implemented in January 2004. Under the hosting agreements, the KCBT and MGE markets will remain independent and maintain separate open and close times. Electronic trading of the CBOT's agricultural products is available from 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Central Time Sunday through Friday. The CBOT will provide real-time monitoring of market operations for both exchanges.

The agreements also consolidate data distribution for the exchanges involved, increasing operational efficiency for vendors and users. The CBOT will distribute market data for the exchanges in the industry's standard format through a single data feed on the CBOT's Quote Vendor Network. Last trade, best bid/ask, as well as data on market depth, such as bids and offers waiting to be filled, and other key information will be available via the CBOT's network.

Hi Xmortal, re : your question earlier.

I don't think the price has legs to break the 9.00 pence resistance just yet. The 14-day RSI is in a very heavy overbought position (at around 92) and the price has got outside the upper bollinger band (see below chart). The price may consolidate around the 7.50 pence mark for a few days now before the next leg up.

graph.php?enableBollinger=true&enableRSI

As always if news comes, TA goes out of the window.

PS. I do not hold a position in this stock.

xmortal - 23 Aug 2004 17:27 - 1696 of 1924

Thanks Sue: As always your input is always much appreciated. (this one was the first stock I bought atand got badly burned) will sell as I not prepare to loose any money till at least i get all back)

Do you know what was the buy/sale ratio, any big buys?

Sue: please keep posting and disregard any rude comments you may get. :@)

Xmortal, trades for the day factoring in time delays where lot sizes greater than the NMS. One large protected trade went through (800k) which was a buy order run through the market over the last couple of days. Doesn't look like there were many sellers around given that 93% (or there abouts) of volume were buys.

Xmortal, I am in this share too. SueHelen may have called this one wrong like BGY, but fiar cop to her,sue has got many spot on. heres to 11.00 I hope.

Global Nomad - 24 Aug 2004 10:39 - 1700 of 1924

well thats quite a pull back..... I guess the sentiment on the news yesterday didn't stand up to someones scrutiny...... looking a bit volatile ( not that it hasn't been before) and this may make more people more cautious about getting into this share.

profitmaker - 24 Aug 2004 16:32 - 1701 of 1924

CWV tend to announce contracts in batches. Hopefully the Kansas one is the first of many over the next few months. I expect 3 TDIs before the end of the year. This is based on the announcement at the end of June where they said they were negotiating with several clients. As the product becomes more proven, others will sign up. Every TDI contract flows directly to the bottom line. We were expecting 1 in 1st half and 5 in 2nd. Expectations were played down to the point where nothing was expected. Almost impossible to say what share price should be but I reckon we'll see 12p by Jan. Anyone got any ideas?

Biscuit - 24 Aug 2004 16:46 - 1702 of 1924

Well I think on the announcement of a new TDI contract these shares could move up to the 15p-20 range initially and then fall back to 10p-15p. Although as we've seen previously these can move up very quickly on good news. I think there's an outside chance that euphoria may hit these after a new TDI contract and could push them very high, very quickly (maybe too quickly). If they do acheive the 3 TDI contracts as you anticipate then I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at where they'll stop. Positive press and news has a huge effect on these shares as we have seen over the past week! Of course, the above is all my humble opinion.

SueHelen - 24 Aug 2004 18:01 - 1703 of 1924

For you guys : press mention, will appear in tomorrow's Daily Mail Newspaper.

24 August 2004, This Is Money

CMS WebView shares saw some profit-taking, losing 0.75p at 7.75p having been lifted last week by news that the Chicago Board of Trade had agreed to use the group's TDI software to distribute market data for the Kansas City Board of Trade and Minneapolis Grain Exchange.
