FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

LOL... Yeah, indices might go a leg lower as short term support now being strongly tested.. You never know what the bell will bring.. 9800 on Dax appears to be holding for now.. 17680 Wall St, 6530 FTSE are my support points.

where's support now, always assuming this isn't a tease?

i suppose 17600 is a good psychological level, and i know it was certainly a resistance point

cynic - 11 Dec 2014 09:09 - 16887 of 21973

not entirely sure what it's used for, though it has one esoteric use for attracting moisture (i think) from between the walls of cryogenic tanks

HARRYCAT - 11 Dec 2014 09:17 - 16888 of 21973

Catalytic converters on road vehicles and also fuel cells.
