Hi Hot Lips, no problem with the bubbly. Plenty available for that virtual party. Hilary likes a nice cool white wine, Chablis I think, makes a nice alternative although my secret passion is pudding wine.

Sorry I've not been around much tonight but I have been looking at charts by the dozen. Also been listening to a TW/EK webcast. How that EK makes any money amazes me, he can't possibly be as soft as he makes out, can he?

{:-)

Like my new haircut?

Socs
Whats happening with the Wiggy then

Wiggins Group Plc

The Company announces that it has today requested an immediate supension of
trading in its ordinary shares pending the outcome of discussions which may or
may not lead to an acquisition being made by the Company which would constitute
a reverse takeover under the UKLA's Listing Rules. A further announcement will
be made in due course

There have been rumours that WGG was in talks with a property company. I believe called LNC, it looks like things may be about to crystalise a bit. I'll be interested to see what effect it has on the market cap when the suspension is lifted.

Shame, I thought WGG was just about to go into another 2p or 3p up cycle. Just have to wait and see, meanwhile, back at the farm...........

jeffmack - 17 Jul 2003 16:57 - 1693 of 23498

Socs
So they are a property company, not an airport operator. Remember those discussions well on ADVFN.

Socrates - 17 Jul 2003 18:26 - 1694 of 23498

LOL Jeff. I think though that it's the cashflow that WGG are after. Remember that TBI started as a property company and they are doing OK.

I'm told that Manston is very busy at present, all those rich golfers flying in for the Open at Sandwich.

Hot Lips - 17 Jul 2003 22:54 - 1695 of 23498

Hot Lips
I'm afraid I missed you last night, my deepest apologies. You're always welcome to some pudding wine. I love it, makes me sleep afterwards!

vasey - 18 Jul 2003 21:11 - 1697 of 23498

Socks! Thanks for the offer of more bubbles...... cuddling a rather nice Eau de vie at the moment, so may help you out with the champagne tomorrow. Hope you remembered not to sell again today.....

Socrates - 18 Jul 2003 21:30 - 1698 of 23498

Vasey
(Where did that name come from?) I have no intention of selling yet, I am even considering buying more. By the way, when's the divi due?

I'm also quite happy with my purchase of SVB, it's been doing OK and even increased after the open offer, which is nice. I've also toyed with the idea of having a punt on TurboGenset and Pursuit Dynamics but not quite ready for such risky ventures.

There are a couple of informed folks on the other board regarding PDX. They seem to think something will happen next couple of weeks and the price will move up more.

Socrates - 19 Jul 2003 09:36 - 1700 of 23498

Jeff
Up early again, not at work are you? I've read just about everything published about PDX from out-board motors to custard pumps. There are just so many possible applications that if only 20% make it to market it will still be a winner.

I just love these innovative tech companies but it is so easy to let your enthusiasm cloud your judgement. I'm looking at Turbogenset, Dyson Group I'm already into. There is an electric motor developer who I am trying to find about, difficult because I don't even know their name. They have a new technology which offers significant power savings.

jeffmack - 22 Jul 2003 10:28 - 1701 of 23498

Is the tea room shut for the summer

Socrates - 22 Jul 2003 19:24 - 1702 of 23498

No, as always I'm sat here in the corner reading the papers and waiting for the ladies to pop in, LOL.

How are you doing Jeff?

hilary - 22 Jul 2003 20:37 - 1703 of 23498

Pop!

Socrates - 22 Jul 2003 22:30 - 1704 of 23498

Pop?

hilary - 23 Jul 2003 08:25 - 1705 of 23498

That was me popping in, Socs. You were fast asleep in the corner at the time.

jeffmack - 23 Jul 2003 12:50 - 1706 of 23498

Hi Socs, I am doing OK. Late working yesterday (20:30) so rewarded myself with a few beers after work.
