2.6 Buyers c.t. 2.2 Sellers yet the sp is DOWN by 0.88%!.....Why is this?

driver - 22 Feb 2005 14:16 - 1692 of 27111

I would be really surprised if it wasn't down looking at the FTSE 46.5 down at 1416pm, quite reassuring seo is acting like a normal share.

stockdog - 22 Feb 2005 14:16 - 1693 of 27111

Perhaps MM's waiting for the good news to arrive before taking the lid off. Why sell into a 17p target when you can sell into (my IMHO) 25p near term target after announcing an ADSA deal.

Just a thought - who knows - if I did I could make more money than merely investing, I'm sure.

maybe you are right , driver. most of the shares on my watchlist showing red today. no worries, we've never gone in a straight line anyway. like i said before, if you ignore the 1 its just like last year. but i'm much happier moving in a 17p to 14p band than last years 7p to 4p band.

I agree I mean its not exactly (shaking the bush bos) I bet you don't know what film that is from, anyone.

how many boiled eggs can one man eat?

bhunt1910 - 22 Feb 2005 15:33 - 1704 of 27111

Cool Hand Luke

Well Done (but not the full answer)
Cool hand Luke (Paul Newman) 1967 is the right answer, it refers to some one having a leak behind the bush having to shake it, the bush that is. so the prison officer knows he is not up to any think i.e. trying to escape.

driver - 22 Feb 2005 15:35 - 1706 of 27111

bhunt1910
I think 1910 Won That.

planttec - 22 Feb 2005 16:26 - 1707 of 27111

Thank you driver, i did know the full answer but was offering that as a clue to those that wished to keep trying.

Would it be safe to assume that the 2 500k trades @ 15 were buys? assuming that these were ordinary trades as stated it would be hard to see anyone giving that as a sell price given todays movement. Maybe the house broker selling some of the placement at a profit? Institutional buyer?

bhunt1910 - 22 Feb 2005 16:33 - 1708 of 27111

Thanks Driver - but I would not have got it without the boiled eggs clue from planttec - so I concede

driver - 22 Feb 2005 16:42 - 1709 of 27111

Very strong buys at the end of the day I predict a blue day tomorrow with a bit of white round the edges.

bosley - 22 Feb 2005 16:54 - 1710 of 27111

all buyers coming in late afternoon. buys outweigh sells. bit of a pattern emerging as this has happened a few times. are people day trading seo, selling in the morning if it rises and buying back late afternoon when it has dropped? difficult to say what the 2x500k@15p were, planttec. if it is part of the placing then its a fair old profit. but it makes no sense to sell when a price busting rns could be just round the corner.
good qoute driver. i didnt get it 'til plantec gave a slight clue. good film.
